Square Enix Reveals Marvel Avengers

During their E3 press conference, Square Enix revealed our first look at Marvel’s Avengers developed by Crystal Dynamics.

The game takes place on A-Day in San Francisco where the Avengers are opening a new headquarters. Something goes terribly wrong resulting in destruction and death and the Avengers are to blame. The Avengers are outlawed and five years later must come together when a new threat arises.

The game is both single player and co-op combining cinematic storytelling and action in an original story. You’ll play as Captain America, the Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, and Iron Man.

The game features four player co-op where you can “customize a growing roster of heroes.” You’ll play against new threats. Every new hero, in every region, will be delivered at no additional cost. No loot boxes. No pay to win scenarios.

Marvel’s Avengers is out for PS4, Xbox One, Stadia, and PC worldwide. “Awesome surprises” will be coming to the Playstation audience including early beta access and “unique benefits” to be revealed in the future.

The game comes out May 15, 2020.
