Star Wars Up Next At McDonalds
Not necessarily comic related but Star Wars: Clone Wars is the next toy to be a part of McDonald’s Happy Meals. Currently a Pokemon promotion is going on.

McDonalds and Burger King are competing as far as comic book related toys for their kids meals. After their current Rio promotion, McDonalds will again be diving into Batman: The Brave and the Bold for their Happy Meals with a new set of figures. Many are new characters not offered before, and with each meal comes three toys.
Their competitor Burger King will be playing host to toys based off of Thor.
Make sure to consult a doctor before trying to ingest enough fast food to get you one of everything.

Looks like I missed this one, but was happy to find Young Justice toys in McDonalds Happy Meals. Figures include Robin, Batman, Superboy, Superman, Aqualad, Black Manta, Kid Flash and Captain Cold.
You can head to McDonalds Happy Meal website to check out what each toy does as well as an advertisement for them.
I guess it’s three in a row for us geeks when it comes to McDonald’s Happy Meals. First it was Marvel super heroes and currently you’ll find Batman: The Brave and the Bold. After this current promotion you’ll see toys based off of Star Wars: Clone Wars being served up. This according to the bottom of the Happy Meal box.
It’s been a little over two weeks since we broke the news that toys from Batman: The Brave and the Bold would be up next for McDonald’s Happy Meals. We now have photos of what to expect.
That’s two comic book themed Happy Meals in a row, can we expect more? I want a three-peat!
As first reported at GamePolitics, the Campaign for a Commercial Free Childhood (CCFC) is going after the Marvel action figures currently available in McDonald’s Happy Meals (and I’m sure the Batman ones to follow). The CCFC focused their ire on two of the figures in particular; one based on The Thing, who “menacingly roars ‘IT’S CLOBBERIN’ TIME!’ at the press of a button,” and another meant to be the miniature incarnation of The Human Torch, who the CCFC notes, “is a man engulfed in flames.”
The CCFC also took on gender stereotypes the promotions perpetuate as the “girl’s” toys included small baskets with animals (though recently we saw one very happy little girl playing with her Human Torch figure). Hyperbole gets the news and their description of the two Fantastic Four members fits the bill:
But now, for preschool boys, a so-called happy meal at McDonald’s features the horrifying spectacle of a man on fire and a menacing figure that explicitly spurs them to violence. But now, for preschool boys, a so-called happy meal at McDonald’s features the horrifying spectacle of a man on fire and a menacing figure that explicitly spurs them to violence.
The group is urging concerned parents to participate in an email campaign against the fast food purveyor.
While I got our third Marvel toy from the current McDonald’s Happy Meal promotion, I decided to look at the bottom of the box and see what was coming next. It looks like McDonald’s will be hopping into bed with DC.
Up next, Batman: The Brave and the Bold.
Any guesses as to what toys we might see?
Marvel super heroes are coming the McDonald’s Happy Meals! Toys will include the Silver Surfer, Human Torch, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thing, Wolverine, Captain America and the Hulk.
