A universe created anew in Ultimate Invasion #1!

Next month, readers will witness a transformation of Marvel characters and storytelling that could only come from two of the industry’s greatest visionaries, writer Jonathan Hickman and artist Bryan Hitch with colors by Alex Sinclair, in Ultimate Invasion #1. The start of a redefining four-issue saga, Ultimate Invasion #1 will see the heroes of the Marvel Universe clash with one of the few survivors of the Ultimate Universe (which met its doom in 2015’s Secret Wars), a confrontation that ends with the promise of something all-new and vastly different than anything that’s come before.

Fans can get their first look into this revolutionary new project this Saturday in Free Comic Book Day: Spider-Man/Venom #1. With a print run of nearly 500,000 copies, this issue will showcase a dramatic scene from Ultimate Invasion #1 where the Maker presents Miles Morales with an offer he may not be able to refuse, while the reunited Illuminati desperately tries to shut down the Maker’s attempt to reshape the Marvel Universe.

In the coming weeks, readers will behold a glimpse into this breathtaking new world and get reintroduced to new versions of familiar characters in a thrilling trailer. In addition, a limited number of retailers can participate in a virtual press conference taking place within the next few weeks, where they’ll have a rare opportunity to learn about the overall development and impact of the series directly from the creators themselves, Hickman and Hitch. The Deadliest Stardate in Star Trek History Arrives in July with IDW’s Epic Day of Blood Storyline

Since October, IDW Publishing has proudly embarked on new missions to the final frontier with a riveting, interwoven storyline across two ongoing monthly comic books, a flagship Star Trek series and its spin-off, Star Trek: Defiant. These two series are on a maximum warp collision course toward the first-ever Star Trek comic crossover event: Day of Blood!

Attentive fans already know to get their first taste of the chaos to come with a special prelude story in the upcoming Star Trek Free Comic Book Day 2023 one-shot, available in comic shops everywhere on Saturday, May 6th, with a story written by Collin Kelly, Jackson Lanzing, and Christopher Cantwell, and illustrated by Mike Feehan.

Dynamite reveals Red Sonja covers by Jenny Frison, Bryan Hitch, and Alan Quah

Dynamite has just announced the roaring return of Red Sonja, the She-Devil With a Sword, in an anticipated new 50th anniversary series starting this July by writer Torunn Grønbekk and artist Walter Geovani. The celebration is so big that the wide cast of heavy hitter artists attached to the project will be revealed in waves, to make sure the immense talent gets the spotlight they all deserve!

In addition to the announced covers for issue #1 by Shannon Maer, Jim Chung, and the legendary Mike Mignola, Dynamite has three more greats to reveal now! Jenny Frison, Bryan Hitch, and Alan Quah will all be contributing covers as well!
