Yuji Yanase is coming to Otakon 2026

Yuji Yanase will be a guest at Otakon 2026. He is a Japanese anime director and episode director, working primarily with studio MAHO FILM.

He has directed a wide range of series for the studio, including “The World’s Strongest Rearguard,” “The Insipid Prince’s Furtive Grab for The Throne,” “Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra,” “I’ll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History,” “My Unique Skill Makes Me OP even at Level 1,” “In the Land of Leadale,” “By the Grace of the Gods,” “By the Grace of the Gods 2,” and “If It’s for My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord,” among many others.

Otakon 2026 takes place July 31 to August 3 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

Animation director Yuji Yanase will be a guest at Otakon 2023, according to Otakorp Inc. He will participate in an advanced screening of episodes from the anime “My Unique Skill Makes Me Op Even at Level 1.”

Yanase is from Nagoya, Japan. Throughout his career in the industry, he has worked as a storyboard artist, episode director, and animation director. He has worked on a number of popular series, such as “Fist of the North Star,” “A Certain Magical Index,” “Food Wars!”, “Pokémon XY,” “If it’s for My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord,” “By the Grace of the Gods,” “In the Land of Leadale,” and “Assassination Classroom.”

He is currently directing the anime adaptation of “My Unique Skill Makes me OP Even at Level 1.”

Otakon 2023 will be held from July 28 to July 30 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
