X-Files Star David Duchovny Added To Wizard World Comic Con Pittsburgh On Saturday, September 12

David DuchovnyDavid Duchovny, best known for portraying such iconic characters as Fox Mulder on The X Files and Hank Moody on Californication, will make his first-ever Wizard World appearance at Wizard World Comic Con Pittsburgh on Saturday, September 12 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. The two-time Golden Globe winner is currently starring in the NBC TV series Aquarius and earlier this year, Duchovny released his first-ever novel, Holy Cow, which landed on The New York Times’ Bestseller List.

Aside from his most recent achievements, Duchovny has appeared in numerous television shows, including The Larry Sanders Show, Twin Peaks, Life With Bonnie, and Sex and the City, alongside his illustrious film credits including The X Files Movie, Zoolander, Beethoven, Kalifornia, Full Frontal, The Rapture, Evolution, Return To Me, Julia Has Two Lovers, Chaplin, and Playing God . Other feature credits include Trust The Man, The TV Set, and his self-directed and self-written House of D.

Recently it was announced that Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will reprise their X-Files roles in a new series due out next year.

In addition to Duchovny, Ian Somerhalder, William Shatner, Jewel Staite, WWE Superstar Dean Ambrose and Diva Paige, Ernie Hudson, Adam Baldwin, Dean Cain, and Lou Ferrigno headline the roster of celebrity guests scheduled to attend the pop culture extravaganza.

Wizard World Pittsburgh Attendees to Receive The Walking Dead #1 Cover By Jim Rugg

The Walking Dead #1 Jim RuggWizard World, Inc. and Skybound have announced that 2015 Eisner Award winner Jim Rugg has drawn the 16th in a yearlong series of Limited Edition Exclusive Variant Covers of The Walking Dead #1 comic, to be provided free to all full-price attendees at Wizard World Comic Con Pittsburgh, September 11-13. Skybound’s The Walking Dead created by Kirkman, the groundbreaking, Eisner Award winning comic book series, continues to captivate audiences worldwide.

The exclusive The Walking Dead #1 edition will be produced in extremely limited quantities and is available at registration to fans at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center only while supplies last. VIP attendees will receive an additional black & white sketch version of the comic.

Rugg makes comics, books, drawings, illustrations, and designs. His books and comics include Street Angel, Afrodisiac, the PLAIN Janes, Rambo 3.5, Notebook Drawings, and Supermag. He has exhibited drawings at iam8bit, Gallery1988, Mondo, and the Society of Illustrators. Honors include an Ignatz Award, The Pittsburgh Foundation’s Investing in Professional Artists grant, and AIGA’s 50 Books/50 Covers selection for best-designed books. He teaches classes in the MFA Visual Narrative program at the School of Visual Arts.

Wizard World, Inc. continues its 2015 schedule with its inaugural trip to the David L. Lawrence Convention Center at Wizard World Comic Con Pittsburgh, September 11-13. Nathan Fillion, Ian Somerhalder, William Shatner, Jewel Staite, Colm Meaney, WWE Superstar Dean Ambrose and Diva Paige, Ernie Hudson, Adam Baldwin, Dean Cain and Lou Ferrigno headline the roster of celebrity guests scheduled to attend the pop culture extravaganza.

Fillion, Somerhalder and Paige will appear on Saturday, Sept. 12, only; Shatner will appear on Friday evening and Saturday, Sept. 11-12; Ambrose will attend on Friday only; Meaney and Staite are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Sept 12-13; the others above will attend all three days.

Other well-known Wizard World Comic Con Pittsburgh guests include the Boondock Saints duo of Sean Patrick Flanery and David Della Rocco , Jason David Frank, James Marsters, Eddie McClintock, Steve Gonsalves, and Jason David Frank.
