Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2’s “Techmarine Update” is Out Now

Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive have announced the release of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2’s “Techmarine Update,” available for free for all players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Alongside the Techmarine comes a new PvE mission, a new weapon, the Raven Guard Champion Pack and Carcharodons Cosmetic Pack for Season Pass 2 owners, and much more.

Take control of the battlefield with the new Techmarine class

The Techmarine finally joins the ranks of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2! Available now for all PvE and PvP Modes (Operations, Stratagems, Siege and Eternal War), the Techmarine is an expert in crowd control and area defense thanks to its unique loadout and powerful automated weapons bolted directly to its armor. In PvP modes, this new class will take on the colors of the Red Corsair Warpsmith.

Techmarines come equipped with a brand-new, exclusive weapon, the Omnissian Axe, letting them make good use of their sweeping melee attacks to cut down Tyranids and Thousand Sons alike. As for all available classes, new Techmarine players will be able to choose from 25 available perks to customize their playstyles and maximize damage in the name of the Emperor.

The Raven Guard welcomes its Champion, and the Carcharodons find the spotlight

Today’s update is accompanied by the usual set of Season Pass 2 cosmetics! The Raven Guard returns with a Champion Pack adding a new full-body armor skin for the Assault class and a unique Bolt Pistol skin inspired by their iconography. The Carcharodons receive their very first armor pieces with two pauldrons, two helmets and an exclusive chestplate celebrating the mysterious yet beloved prowlers of the outer dark.

Patch 12 also marks the release of Space Marine 2’s Chapter Voice Pack 1, adding over 1,300 voicelines re-recorded in the unique styles of the Blood Angels, Space Wolves and Black Templars chapters. It comes with three unique Space Marine faces to be equipped and swapped onto any of the game’s classes, as faces are no longer class-locked and can now be applied to all available characters!

AMC’s The Walking Dead DLC Comes to World War Z in January 2026

Saber Interactive has revealed that the next campaign DLC for World War Z will take players to the terrifying world of AMC’s The Walking Dead. Experience a new battle for survival against the relentless undead in three new story chapters featuring some of the most legendary characters and locations from the iconic franchise. World War Z x The Walking Dead DLC will launch in January 2026 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Undead apocalypses collide like never before in World War Z x The Walking Dead DLC, a new campaign episode featuring three thrilling stories starring characters from AMC’s The Walking Dead – Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, Negan, and Michonne – with the voices of Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus reprising their fan-favorite characters. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2’s Major “Datavault” Patch is Out Now

Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment welcome the third major content update for the blockbuster Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Titled “Datavault,” this new update brings more free content and much-requested quality-of-life improvements to all players, while also granting Season Pass owners even more cosmetics to customize their characters. Space Marine 2 is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. New challenges and rewards await in the Datavault!

Directly accessible through the Armory, today’s main addition comes in the form of the Datavault, a brand-new Battle-Barge chamber where Tech-Priests collect and store intel on the many enemies of the Imperium. By completing Ordeals, players will accumulate Research Data that they’ll be able to trade for Requisition Points and new cosmetics like pauldron markings, weapon skins (Thunder Hammer, Auto Bolt Rifle) and even new armor pieces (breastplate, gauntlet).

A new map comes to PvP while the Biovore invades Operations mode

With today’s update, Eternal War mode gets its first new PvP map since launch with the Necron-themed “Tomb” map.

Operations players, meanwhile, will need to keep an eye out for the new Tyranid Biovore, a devastating Majoris enemy able to deal damage both from afar and up close.

Season Pass brings the Raven Guard and Salamanders

In addition to these new challenges, Season Pass owners today receive the Raven Guard Cosmetic Pack and the Salamanders Champion Pack. The first comes with the iconic, fan-favorite Mark VI “Corvus” helmet and over 40 cosmetics to celebrate the Raven Guard Successor Chapters, while the latter brings a new Champion skin for the Sniper class and an exclusive Bolt Sniper Rifle skin.

“Absolute” difficulty now available, amidst huge QoL improvements

Besides its free and Season Pass content, “Datavault” also delivers the sixth and final difficulty setting, aptly named “Absolute,” as well as significant quality-of-life features for PC and console players alike. These include the addition of an opt-in/opt-out Crossplay feature in PvP matches, an FOV slider on PC, a number of tweaks to class perks, and a “currency exchange,” allowing players to trade their Armoury Data for rarer tiers or even Requisition Points! The Game Awards 2024: Saber Reveals Turok: Origins

Developed and published by Saber, this fast-paced, third-person, sci-fi shooter, featuring both solo and cooperative action for up to three players, will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2’s Massive “Obelisk” Update Arrives Today

Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive have premiered a new trailer to celebrate the biggest content update yet for their blockbuster third-person action game Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. The “Obelisk” update delivers a new replayable map for the Operations (PvE) mode, a new Chaos enemy, a huge Dark Angels cosmetic pack for Season Pass owners, and a lot more, available today for all players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.

A free new Operations map and a slew of cosmetics for Season Pass owners!

Today’s update takes players back to the burial world of Demerium with a new Operation titled “Obelisk,” available today to all Space Marine 2 players for free! In addition, players will now have to face the Tzaangor Enlightened and avoid its deadly, fast-paced attacks as it careens across the battlefield on its Disc of Tzeentch. Stay alert, as this new enemy will be found in every Operation (PvE) mission featuring the Thousand Sons from now on.

Season Pass owners also receive the Dark Angels Chapter Pack, which comes with a new Champion skin for the Bulwark class, three weapons skins for the Plasma Pistol, Auto Bolt Rifle and Power Sword, a new Storm Shield skin and over 40 unique cosmetics celebrating eight of the Dark Angels Successor Chapters.

PS5 Pro, FSR 3 and frame generation for DLSS are now available

On top of today’s gameplay additions, the “Obelisk” update comes with a number of tech improvements for console and PC players alike. PS5 Pro owners can now enjoy the grimdark atmosphere of the 41st millennium with increased maximum resolution at up to 60FPS in Performance Mode and 30 FPS in Quality Mode thanks to the PlayStation 5 Pro’s Spectral Super Resolution technology, allowing for upscaled 4K resolution. PC players can also now take full advantage of AMD’s FSR 3 and Nvidia’s DLSS3 with the addition of frame generation support.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 gets an Extended Multiplayer Gameplay Video

A month before its release, Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive have premiered a new trailer for the highly-anticipated third-person action game Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. This seven-minute extended multiplayer gameplay video shows off the game’s Operations (PvE) and Eternal War (PvP) modes in action for the first time since their reveal at the Warhammer Skulls Festival in May. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store on September 9 and will be playable as soon as September 5 for those who pre-order the Gold or Ultra Edition!

Fight With Your Friends… or Against Them!

Whether playing in Operations (PvE) or Eternal War (PvP), you’ll choose one of six playable classes (Tactical, Assault, Vanguard, Bulwark, Sniper, and Heavy) and earn Armoury Data and Requisition Points to spend on your Space Marine’s appearance through the game’s deep customization system. You can either unlock the game’s many Chapter presets, or create your own custom Chapters by piecing together individual cosmetic items, be it armor or weapon skins! The more you play, the more cosmetics you will earn!

More Missions, Enemies & Weapons to Release Through Free Updates

Following the release on September 9, Space Marine 2 players will receive new “Operations” missions, PvP maps, enemies, and weapons through regular free updates available to all. In addition to this free content, Season Pass owners will be granted additional cosmetics and Chapter heraldry through seasonal, themed DLC celebrating the many fan-favorite factions of the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
