We open up and check out the July premium box from Power Up Box. After skipping a few months, we’re back reviewing one of the more impressive premium geek box services out there.
There’s lots of comic goodness in this month’s box.

Power Up Box is one of the newer premium blind box services out there, joining what feels like an ever growing list. The service has two tiers, one that provides 4-6 items in the box and the other premium one that has 6-9, and each has a t-shirt.
What really stands out when I’ve talked to folks at the company is their focus not just providing a box for us, but one we can give as a gift to others. Their gifting option is right there at the top of their site, clearly something they want to do that’s a bit different from others.
I’ve seen their service pop up a couple of times, and it was on my radar as a “geek box” to try out at some point, so I lucked out when I was offered a premium box to review. I have to say, the first box really blew me away. Something about it screams professional, starting with the large logo adorned box that arrives, but also the contents inside that you can see below.
With some boxes, I struggle to come up with the math that makes them seem worth it. Here, that wasn’t an issue, with some pricey items that felt like you were getting your money’s worth. Instead of one of Funko’s Pop! releases that seems to be in every other box from others, here you get the much higher quality Fabrikation version. But, if you want small, you also get a smaller keychain one too. Both cost decent cash and together almost make up for the entire price of the box. There was a cute tshirt I’d wear, a comic book, some candy, it all added up, and nothing really felt thrown in to take up space and make the box seem like a better value, which some other services have turned to doing. Everything here felt like quality.
This might have been my first Power Up Box, but hopefully it won’t be my last. You can check out the full unboxing below, and sound off in the comments if this is one we should continue to get in the future!
