Super Psychic Policeman Chojo, Vol. 1 has its moments but overall is cute but not engaging

A psychic cop and his rookie partner tackle neighborhood crimes in their own wonky way!

Psychic investigators don’t normally use their powers to lie, cheat, and get ahead. But super psychic policeman Meguru Chojo does! Relegated to a run-down police station and hated by the entire neighborhood, Chojo gets into all sorts of shenanigans, goofs, and gaffes with his rookie partner, Nao Ippongi. Together, they turn the police force into a farce.

On her first day at the West Chinjuku Police Station, Ippongi realizes she got the short end of the stick: Her new partner, Chojo, uses his psychic powers to do everything except work. But after some yakuza threaten to take over Ippongi’s family’s dojo, Chojo begins to take his job more seriously, and the pair embark on a comedic whirlwind solving crimes, catching bad guys, and blundering their way through life as police officers.

Do you think Deadpool is going to be okay? He’s the coolest, right? Did you already see Deadpool & Wolverine?

They say that Deadpool is irresponsible. They call him chaotic. You know what else they call him? Back!

It’s been a while since Deadpool has checked in with the Avengers Samurai Squad. Lives change, habits shift, and sometimes you just fall out of touch. Can you blame him? Deadpool has a lot going on. He’s a globe-trotting super hero!

With the highest kaiju-emergence rates in the world, Japan is no stranger to attack by deadly monsters. Enter the Japan Defense Force, a military organization tasked with the neutralization of kaiju. Kafka Hibino, a kaiju-corpse cleanup man, has always dreamed of joining the force. But when he gets another shot at achieving his childhood dream, he undergoes an unexpected transformation. How can he fight kaiju now that he’s become one himself?!

Thanks to the efforts of the new generation of soldiers, Kafka makes it in time to save Mina Ashiro from Kaiju No. 9. Not only that, he has a host of improved Defense Force–style combat techniques tailored to fight his enemy. But with Kaiju No. 9 able to access the absorbed Isao Shinomiya and his wealth of martial arts knowledge, will Kafka’s refined battle techniques stand a chance?

Kaiju No. 8 Vol. 12 is packed with some awesome action and tense moments

The Eastern Division has been attacked by identified-class kaiju. Narumi and Kikoru have taken care of their targets, but Hoshina is still facing off against No. 12, the finished project that No. 10 served as the prototype for. Even worse, Numbers Weapon 10 won’t output more than 83 percent unleashed combat power, making this battle even more of a struggle for Hoshina!

The World After the Fall Vol. 5 feels like the training montage before the big battle
