Pixton and Robert Miller, a teacher of the 5th grade at Port Orange Elementary in Port Orange, FL, to win a $50,000 Pepsi Refresh grant for education.  Miller is a distinguished educator having been named a Apple Distinguished Educator and was recognized as one of “20 to Watch, 2009” by the National School Board Association.

The grant will create a student-run comic book publishing company to teach science with Pixton.
