Para Bellum reveals The Apex Conqueror Founder’s Exclusive

As chosen by the 2024 Conquest World Champion, Para Bellum has revealed the Apex Conqueror Founder’s Exclusive for Conquest! This is a numbered edition that’s limited to 1337 units!

When the Abhoreth Spire fell to the Dweghom advance, it was not only the W’adrhun who were released, millenia upon millennia of predatory and dangerous creatures, dormant fodder for the twisted Spire experiments, were released as well. Of all those countless creatures, none has thrived like the Apex predator. This monstrous beast has been harnessed by the W’adrhun as a living engine of destruction, lending its primal savagery to that of the W’adrhun forces. You also get a rider, an alt sculpt of the predator character.

UKGE 2025: Para Bellum reveals a New Faction for Conquest… Weaver Courts!

Beware the things in the forest, for they will be your next Conquest purchase… Para Bellum Games, publisher of miniature games Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings and Conquest: First Blood announced at UKGE 2025 another new faction, the second to join the fray in 2025. It will hit shelves beginning in September, with continuous releases through Holiday 2025. This new faction is none-other than the long-anticipated Weaver Courts!

Estranged cousins to the Spires, the Weavers were those Exiles who refused to turn to Biomancy, instead viewing the world of Eӓ as a gift, to be treasured and nurtured. Venerating their natural gift of Life-Binding, they bonded themselves with the life around them, forming four seasonal courts to match their different dispositions. Now, with bodies merged with those of animals, plants, insects and even the elements themselves, the first teases promise an army of otherworldly elegance, combining eerie beauty to the cold, pragmatic violence of the natural law. Playing around synergy between units and fine-tuned by the influence of the different seasonal Courts, the Weaver army is set to use ranged units to mark targets and enable combos in conjunction with melee regiments, promising a strategic, agile and interwoven army.

First teased years ago, the Weavers had captured the imagination of the Conquest community, bringing an eerie, fey-touched approach to the woodland trope. Insect-limbed humanoids with elegant features have been revealed, as well as feather cloaks, plant-like masks, fiery-haloed faces and antlered warriors—all promise a beautiful mosaic of an army, one of mesmerizing beauty and ruthless efficiency. With their unique playstyle and the chromatic tapestry of their Courts, the Weavers promise a unique army on the table and endless hours of hobby time.

Weavers are Conquest‘s unique take on the elusive, ranged skirmisher. But unlike traditional ranged units, they don’t rely solely on firepower to claim victory – they introduce an entirely new combo-building dynamic to the game. For Weavers, ranged attacks aren’t the primary source of damage. Instead, they serve as powerful enablers, applying statuses to enemy regiments while fast-moving melee allies close in to exploit the advantages and complete the combo. Weaver regiments apply a universal Mark – almost like planting a seed – that, depending on Faction Rules, Supremacies, or Spells, can grow into a variety of effects. Plan your round carefully – your strategy could blossom into success or wither away!

The Weavers, Conquest’s tenth faction and the second to be released in 2025 after the Yoroni, will be released in 2025 starting with a Limited-Edition Preview model at Gen Con in Indianapolis this July!

GAMA 2025: Conquest gets a 2-player Starter featuring Yoroni vs. W’Adrhun

Grab a friend and… have an argument, as you can’t decide which choice is your favorite. That is the situation in which Para Bellum Games, publisher of fantasy Mass Combat Miniature Wargame Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings and Skirmish ruleset Conquest: First Blood, is putting the wargaming community, with its new 2-Player Starter Set. In one corner, the Set features the brand-new Yoroni, the ninth, and first Brute-only, faction of Conquest, featuring Yokai-inspired demon samurai that break a new frontier in fantasy wargaming with their aesthetic and style. In the other corner, a classic beloved: the mighty W’adrhŭn, Conquest’s dino-riding warriors and their powerful beasts, starring their latest behemoth of an entry: the flying Quatl, along with its Windlord Predator. With 10 Brute-sized Yoroni models and six W’adrhŭn entries, featuring 2 different dinosaur Brute entries led by the monstrous Quatl, the contents of this box are practically begging to be painted and fielded against each other!

The box features 16 Brute-sized entries and a Monster, offering incredible value, while also including everything else needed to start assembling your new Conquest armies. With two Welcome Guides, two sets of Quick Start guides for both games, two Wooden Conquest Measuring Tools, two Sets of 12 Dice, all the bases, stands, Command and Ideal Cards needed for each army to start playing, assembly manuals, two Folded Paper Maps, this is an absolute must for beginners and fans of Conquest. But while the practical approach makes a case for itself, in this primal clash of the mighty, it is indeed hard to see beyond the cool factor: Demon samurais versus dinosaur-riding warriors. Who would win? How will you choose which faction to play? Maybe it’s really a one player starter that gets you starting two new armies?

The answer awaits on your tables!

The “Two Player Starter Set – Yoroni vs W’adrhŭn” is available for pre-order at participating FLGS, or on our eshop and will be released on March 28th, at a SRP of USD/EU 199.99.

GAMA 2025: The Yoroni are coming for Para Bellum’s Conquest with the Cohort Box

Opportunities like this are not to be missed. Coming out swinging, the Yoroni, the ninth faction of Conquest, make life easier and cooler than ever for players, as Para Bellum Games, publisher of fantasy Mass Combat Miniature Wargame Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings and Skirmish ruleset Conquest: First Blood, is putting a bit over 1000 points worth of brute army in a double-digit priced Cohort Box. Inside the Yoroni Cohort box, eleven Brute sized miniature await, with Tengu, Kappa, Oni and Kami answering the call of a Kitsune Onmyoji Character. And thanks to the flexible special rules of the Yoroni, the… magnificent eleven Brute-sized models of the Cohort are suitable for both Mass Combat and Skirmish systems as is. With a range of different models and an entirely new aesthetic and playstyle, the Yoroni Cohort Box is here to scratch every itch of a Yokai-themed wargaming army, be it playing endless battles, trying new painting ideas or both!

The Cohort contains 10 Ideal Cards, a Quick Start Guide for First Blood with Welcome Guide and a ‘ready to play’ Army List for First Blood. But unlike any other army of Conquest, the Yoroni use Ideal Cards and can mix and match when building their regiments. Thus, the box was recently updated so that all 11 entries are fully compatible to form a Tournament Ready 1000-point army for First Blood and an 885-point Army for Last Argument of Kings, the foundation to play and then build a larger force overtime to be tournament ready for our rank and flank game. The Cohort One Player Starter for Yoroni is one of the best starting points for a new army in wargaming – and it’s ready for two games.

If there was ever a time to try something new in wargaming, this is it. The “First Blood Cohort – Yoroni” box is available for pre-order now and will be released on April 25th, at an SRP of USD/EU 99.99.
