Marvel reveals new Marvel Rivals Variant Covers

To celebrate the success of Marvel Rivals, 10 new Marvel Rivals Variant Covers will be featured on select Marvel comic titles this March!

The latest collaboration between Marvel Games and NetEase Games, Marvel Rivals is a global phenomenon! Not only does the thrilling Super Hero team-based PVP shooter give longtime fans a chance to battle as their favorite Marvel heroes, but it also offers newcomers an exciting entry point to Marvel Comics storytelling. Following the hit Marvel Rivals Variant Covers released this past month, this new batch of covers spotlight even more currently playable icons, showcasing the game’s kinetic artwork and unique designs for characters like Doctor Strange, Moon Knight, Psylocke, Luna Snow and more.

Marvel Rivals goes from video to comic this April

Marvel Rivals, a new Super Hero Team-Based PVP Shooter from Marvel Games and NetEase Games, is a certified global hit! Released last month, the game allows players to choose from an impressive lineup of Marvel characters and battle it out across the Multiverse with unique powersets. This April, Marvel Comics will publish Marvel Rivals #1, a special one-shot inspired by the game’s story. Written by Paul Allor and drawn by artist Luca Claretti, Marvel Rivals #1 collects all six issues of Marvel Unlimited’s Marvel Rivals Infinity Comic in print for the first time.

The saga depicts an epic battle between two squads of members pulled from the original roster of playable characters including iconic heroes like Spider-Man, Captain America, and Wolverine along with breakout stars like Luna Snow and Jeff the Land Shark! Combining the breakneck action of the game with classic Marvel Comics storytelling, it’s a must-have for fans who wish to dive deeper into the thrilling world of Marvel Rivals! 

Set in Tokyo 2099, the time rift has disrupted the Web of Life and Destiny, leaving the world’s heroes to battle it out over the best way to fix it. One group, led by Peni Parker, wants to plug the Web into Cyberspace to repair it. The other group, led by Spider-Man, favors a more conservative approach of using Chronovium to strengthen the web and allow it to repair itself. The time rift makes rivals out of us all, but which team will overtake the other?

Marvel Rivals: Galactic Tunes Original Video Game Soundtrack is available now

Marvel Games and NetEase Games recently unveiled the launch trailer for Marvel Rivals, the new Super Hero Team-Based PVP Shooter that lets players assemble an ever-evolving all-star squad of Super Heroes and Super Villains battling with unique powers across a dynamic lineup of destructible maps from across the Marvel Multiverse. The highly-anticipated game launches today, December 6 with all heroes unlocked and free to play at launch and beyond.

The launch trailer features renowned rock vocalist Chrissy Costanza, who garners more than 4.5 million listeners monthly on Spotify and has garnered over 3 billion streams, performs the game’s theme song “Rivals ‘Til the End”. Best known as the powerhouse frontwoman of band Against The Current and for her iconic gaming anthems like “Legends Never Die” and “Phoenix”, Chrissy’s career seamlessly bridges the worlds of gaming and music.
