AfroComicCon has announced that rapper Murs will be among the Special Guests for the virtual convention!
Nicholas Carter (born March 16, 1978), better known by his stage name Murs, is an American rapper who first gained acclaim as part of L.A.’s Living Legends crew in the mid ’90s, and established a solo career with his debut release F’Real in 1997. He has released more than two dozen full-length solo and collaborative albums (as well as numerous EPs and singles), co-authored the 2012 graphic novel Yumiko: Curse Of The Merch Girl, and, alongside MC Slug, forms the all-star Hip-Hop duo, Felt. His most recent projects include the fourth Felt album Felt 4 U, the He’s The Christian, I’m The Rapper collaborative album with MC Dee-1, and regular releases through his Patreon.
AfroComicCon‘s 1st virtual convention will be held on October 24, 2020. Due to COVID-19 concerns, the annual event started in 2017 by the Oakland Technology & Education Center (OTEC), will be held virtually and free through a portal on the organization’s website. Sponsored by the NNPA, the Oakland A’s, and Pixar Entertainment, AfroComicCon promises to be a day full of exciting panels, screenings, entertainment, gaming, cosplay and special guests. The 12-hour event is currently slated to be live-streamed across multiple platforms including YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook. You can register now.
