NYCC 2022: Actors, Filmmakers announced for Aqua Teen, Mortal Kombat Legends, Super Sons panels

A bevy of popular acting and filmmaking talent will join Warner Bros. Home Entertainment (WBHE) to debut three new animated films at New York Comic Con with world premieres and panels of Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm, Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons and Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind over October 5-9, 2022. 

On Thursday, October 6, WBHE will host the World Premiere of Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm at 8:30pm on Main Stage of NYCC. In addition to the screening, the event will lead off with a panel discussion amongst filmmakers and cast, including Carey Means and Dana Snyder, who voice Frylock and Master Shake, respectively, and series co-creators and the film’s directors/writers Dave Willis (who also voices Meatwad) and Matt Maiellaro.

WBHE will host the World Premiere of Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons on Friday, October 7 at 3:30pm on Main Stage, followed by a panel featuring members of the cast and crew led by Jack Dylan Glazer and Jack Griffo, the voices of Jonathan Kent and Damian Wayne, respectively, aloongside Travis Willingham (voice of Superman/Clark Kent), Laura Bailey (voice of Lois Lane), director Matt Peters, screenwriter Jeremy Adams and supervising producer Rick Morales

And on Saturday, October 8, actors Ron Yuan (voice of Kuai Liang/Sub-Zero) and Courtenay Taylor (voice of Kira), producer/director Rick Morales and screenwriter Jeremy Adams will offer behind-the-scenes details and entertaining anecdotes about the making of Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind on a panel at 3:30pm on Main Stage.

In addition, a limited number of free tickets remain for a special premiere screening of Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind on Wednesday, October 5 at 6:30pm at Hudson Yards. See below for more details and instructions to request tickets.

WBHE panels will spotlight never-before-seen footage, discussions with filmmakers and actors. All three panels will be live-streamed through NYCC’s partnership with Popverse, and specific panel links will be found via the NYCC website.

The movie was also written and directed by Willis and Maiellaro, and produced by Williams Street Productions. Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm will be available on Digital, 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray starting November 8, 2022.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment (WBHE) will unveil three dynamic new animated films at New York Comic Con with world premieres and panels of Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm, Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons and Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind over October 5-9, 2022. 

On Thursday, October 6, WBHE will host the World Premiere of Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm at 8:30pm on Main Stage of NYCC. In addition to the screening, the event will include a panel discussion amongst filmmakers and cast.

WBHE will host the World Premiere of Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons on Friday, October 7 at 3:30pm on Main Stage, followed by a panel featuring members of the cast and crew.

And on Saturday, October 8, the filmmakers and members of the cast will offer behind-the-scenes details and entertaining anecdotes about the making of Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind on a panel at 3:30pm on Main Stage. Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind coming in October

A shattered hero must overcome battle-inflicted blindness and seemingly insurmountable odds to save his village and, ultimately all of Earthrealm in Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind, an all-new, feature-length film produced by Warner Bros. Animation in coordination with NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Games. The film arrives from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on Digital on October 9, 2022 and on 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack and Blu-ray on October 11, 2022.

The action-packed Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind will be available on 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack (USA $29.99 SRP; Canada $34.99 SRP), Blu-ray+Digital (USA $24.99 SRP), Blu-ray (Canada $29.99 SRP), and Digital ($19.99). The Blu-ray+Digital features a Blu-ray disc with the film in hi-definition and a digital version of the movie. Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind is produced and directed by Rick Morales (Mortal Kombat Legends franchise, Injustice) from a script by Jeremy Adams (Supernatural, Justice Society: World War II), who also penned the screenplays for the series’ first two films. All three films are based on the video game created by Ed Boon and John Tobias. Jim Krieg (Batman: Gotham by Gaslight) is Producer. Sam Register and NetherRealm Studios’ Ed Boon are Executive Producers.
