Review: Sidney Hammer

sub010358-_sx360_ql80_ttd_The city of Salemscraft Wells was stalked by a serial killer years ago. When the case seemed forgotten, our intrepid and sexy journalist Sidney is called by a group of eccentric rockstars to resume the investigation… and to smash some zombie heads! An old-school mystery filled to the brim with pulp action, gore-ish comedy and curves!

All the humor and corny atmosphere of old horror B-movies, with a boost of old fashioned pulp and horror comics of the early 50’s and 60’s.  I was a little late to catch those, so I was pleasantly pleased with this slight rebirth of them here. While tales of monsters have fallen out of fashion in comics, they don’t seem to have faded away.

Honestly the main character Sidney, defiantly has a pinup art style to her. Even the other female character is drawn in a similar way. While the zombies may not be the most fearsome looking things, they add well to the B-movie art style that seems to be consistent throughout. Worth it for those looking a good one shot.
