All-New Thor: Love and Thunder Content Drops for MARVEL Contest of Champions

Kabam’s mobile fighter Marvel Contest of Champions debuted all-new content themed after the upcoming Marvel Studios film, Thor: Love and Thunder. The Champion Reveal trailer introduces two new Champions, inspired by the film, coming to the popular mobile fighter – Gorr & Valkyrie.

Celebrating the premiere of Thor: Love and Thunder on July 8, all new and existing players who download Marvel Contest of Champions and log in can add either Thor (Ragnarok) or Thor (Jane Foster) to their rosters, beginning July 8 through August 2. With over 200 Champions in The Contest, players can also add other legendary MCU-inspired characters to their roster from Thor including Korg, Odin, Hela, Loki, Guardians of the Galaxy crew Star-Lord, Drax, Rocket, Groot, and more!

Here is a quick look at what The Contest has in store this coming month:

Gorr the God-Butcher grew up on a harsh world, where belief in the gods kept his people from falling to despair. But after his family perished to the deadly environment, Gorr became disillusioned and swore vengeance against the gods that never came to help him or his people. He later obtained the powerful Necrosword, and gained the ability to control dark magic and shadowy constructs. He uses these powers to wreak havoc, destruction, and death on any and all that would call themselves gods.

Former leader of the mighty Valkyrior, and recently crowned sovereign of New Asgard, Valkyrie has long been a bastion to the Asgardian people against the evils of the Nine Realms. Possessing superior strength (even among Asgardians) and armed with the powerful weapons, training, and tactics of the Valkyrior, she is an excellent leader, and a steadfast warrior. Her conviction, though scarred by loss, is stronger than ever, and she is ready and willing to protect the Asgadians of the Battlerealm.

Set your reminders! Gorr will arrive in-game July 14 and Valkyrie on July 28. In the meantime, fans can now check out Gorr and Valkyrie in the all-new Champion Trailer – Fight of the Valkyrie – and catch up on The Battlerealm with character Deep Dive and Special Moves content on the official Marvel Contest of Champions YouTube channel.

BONUS! From June 29 through July 5, a special login calendar will be available in-game where players can receive Champion Shards. MARVEL Contest of Champions Celebrates Pride Month and Reveals Two New Champions – Wiccan & Hulkling

In celebration of Pride, Kabam’s mobile fighter Marvel Contest of Champions partnered with iconic comic artist Derek Charm to illustrate custom wallpaper inspired by fan-favorite LGBTQ+ MARVEL Super Heroes including America Chavez and teasing a future Champion coming to the game, Valkyrie – take a look at his artwork!

In addition, The Contest debuted an all-new Champion Reveal trailer introducing two new Champions coming to the popular mobile fighter – Wiccan & Hulkling! Also, to get hyped for the upcoming Disney+ series, Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan) will join all rosters of new and existing Summoners free for players who download and log in beginning June 8 and concluding on July 20. With over 200 Champions in The Contest, players can also add other legendary MCU-inspired characters to their roster including Hercules, Iceman, and more!

CHARACTER BIOS

Wiccan

William “Billy” Kaplan is the reincarnated son of Scarlet Witch that had been magically created through Chaos Magic but later dispelled. Not long after Billy discovered his powers he was recruited into the New Avengers. Initially he had chosen to name himself after Thor and adopted the super hero identity of the Asgardian, but as he matured as a hero and developed more as his own person he changed his code-name to Wiccan.

Hulkling

Growing up, Theodore “Teddy” Altman thought he was simply a mutant with shapeshifting and super-strength. Then one day he was hunted down by Super-Skrull and informed that not only was he actually a hybrid of the Kree and Skrull races, he was also a member of the Skrull rowyal family. As time passed, Teddy claimed his role as the once and future King of Space, emperor of the united Kree/Skrull alliance, and wielder of the mythical star-sword, Excelsior.

Set your reminders! Hulkling will arrive in-game June 16 and Wiccan on June 30. New and existing players will be given the opportunity to add either Hulkling or Wiccan to their roster for free beginning June 8 and concluding on July 6. All-New Doctor Strange Content Drops for MARVEL Contest of Champions

Kabam’s award-winning mobile fighter Marvel Contest of Champions debuted all-new content themed after the upcoming Marvel Studios film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The Champion Reveal trailer introduces two new Champions, inspired by the film, coming to the popular mobile fighter – Wong and Rintrah. Also, the master of mystical arts himself Doctor Strange will join all rosters of new and existing Summoners free for players who download and log in before June 8. With over 200 Champions in The Contest, players can also add other legendary MCU-inspired characters to their roster from the film including Mordo, America Chavez, Scarlet Witch and more!

Here is a quick look at what The Contest has in store this month:

An unseen enemy has begun to weaken the magical wards that help protect The Battlerealm, and it falls to Wong to stop them! Teaming up with America Chavez and the mystical minotaur Rintrah, Wong will need all his wits and wisdom to overcome this mysterious foe.

A Master of the Mystic Arts and the current Sorcerer Supreme (through a technicality), Wong is a stoic individual that has devoted his life to protecting the Sanctum Sanctorum using the Mystic Arts of Kamar-Taj, taking on the mantle of his former master, the Ancient One. While his applications of the mystic arts may not be as robust as those of previous Sorcerer Supremes, his vast knowledge and familiarity with tomes and magical relics make him a more than capable adversary, on and off the battlefield.

Rintrah is a being from another dimension, hailing from the planet R’Vaal. His mystical potential was first realized by Enitharmon the Weaver, who started Rintrah’s training in the ways of magic. Traveling from his homeworld, Rintrah began apprenticing under the sorcerer supreme himself, Doctor Strange. Combining the power of arcane might and the brute strength of hoof and horn, Rintrah is a force to be reckoned with by any who would dare threaten him or the Sanctum Sanctorum.

Set your reminders! Rintrah will arrive in-game May 12 and Wong on May 26. Marvel Contest of Champions Reveals Captain Britain and Omega Sentinel in an All-New Trailer!

The Contest continues as Kabam has premiered The Last Word, an all-new Champion Reveal Trailer for MARVEL Contest of Champions! The trailer teases two new Champions coming to the popular mobile fighter – Captain Britain & Omega Sentinel. Here is a quick look at what The Contest has in store this month:

The Grandmaster and Captain Britain bring the warring mutant factions of Krakoa, Clan Akkaba, and The Brotherhood of Mutants together for a tournament to decide who is worthy to lead all the mutants of The Battlerealm, but the arrival of a mutant-hunting foe threatens the very existence of all factions!

Elizabeth “Betsy” Braddock spent most of her adult life as the mutant Psylocke, fighting alongside the X-Men while her brother took on the mantle of Captain Britain. After years spent trapped in the body of the assassin Kwannon, Betsy was finally able to regain her original form just in time to take over the role of Captain Britain from her brother Brian Braddock. Using her mutant abilities to engage her opponents with telepathy, telekinesis, and potent psionic weapons, the new Captain Britain is a powerful force for good in the multiverse.

Omega Prime Sentinels are humans who have been augmented by Sentinel technology to become cyborg sleeper agents, only transforming into mutant killing machines when they detect one nearby. Karima Shapandar is one such Sentinel, having struggled for years between her human instincts to serve and protect, and the Sentinel protocols that would make her a killer. In the end, Karima’s Sentinel side overtook her humanity, and now as Omega Sentinel she serves as the ultimate Human-Sentinel-Hybrid hunting mutants and enforcing the will of Nimrod.

Kabam Premieres an All-new Champion Reveal Trailer for Marvel Contest of Champions

Beginning a new era for The Contest, Kabam has premiered an all-new Champion Reveal Trailer for MARVEL Contest of Champions, setting the stage for the looming peril threatening The Battlerealm. Check out the new trailer teasing the two new Champions – Captain America (Sam Wilson) and Misty Knight – coming to the popular mobile fighter. Here is a quick look at what The Contest has in store this month:

Galactus is here and has destroyed Hell’s Kitchen! Captain America, aka Sam Wilson, has contacted The Summoner in order to round up survivors and lead them to an old Helicarrier captained by the venerable Misty Knight. With Villains and Heroes aboard, Misty intends to build a neutral community called Safe Haven, a place for those who wish to escape the Galactus Threat. However, not everyone is on board with the idea and begins to plot a mutiny, forcing both Sam and Misty into a difficult moral quandary.

Sam Wilson, formerly known as the Falcon, took the mantle of Captain America when his friend and mentor Steve Rogers went into retirement. At first, Sam gave the Shield away, believing that the legacy belonged to Steve alone, but when world peace and stability were threatened by Super Soldiers, he decided to accept the title of Captain America and make a stand for what he believed was right!

Expert detective and veteran of the toughest streets of New York, Mercedes “Misty” Knight is joining the contest to bring justice through any means necessary. After losing her arm in an incident while working with the NYPD Bomb Squad, Misty was gifted a cybernetic replacement from the one and only Tony Stark. This powerful prosthetic, made of Antarctic Vibranium, carries the ability to harness cryogenic energy and liquefy all but the strongest of metals. With these new powers, Misty has dedicated her life to taking down the most dangerous criminals across the globe!

Also, coming this February, a new show is set to premiere on the Mojo Network! Tune in every week to complete new quests and earn Mojo Bucks to spend in the Mojo Television Network Store.

MARVEL Contest of Champions Summoner’s Choice 2022 Voting Begins This Friday

For its second year, the popular mobile fighter MARVEL Contest of Champions is putting the power in players hands with Kabam’s official Summoner’s Choice Champion Vote.

Kabam announced the first round of voting for Summoner’s Choice 2022 begins this Friday, Jan. 7 through Monday, Jan. 10, allowing the community to choose which new Champion will join The Battlerealm as a player character. This year, players have 12 different iconic Marvel characters to choose from in a bracket-style tournament, with the winner being announced late this month.

Voting takes place in-game and, for the first time, on the official MARVEL Contest of Champions twitter account for one wildcard winner in the first round.

Kraven the Hunter Comes to the Battlerealm in Marvel Contest of Champions

The hunt is on! Kraven the Hunter has arrived in The Battlerealm! Find out more about Kraven’s story in MARVEL Contest of Champions as Kabam debuted an all-new motion comic revealing the new Champion coming to the popular mobile fighter. Here is a quick look at what The Contest has in store this month:

A mysterious flower originating from The Savage Lands has started to destroy communes within The Battlerealm! S.H.I.E.L.D., hoping to contain the threat, sets up a cordon to halt the spread of the flower.

Spider-Man is tasked with leading an expedition into The Savage Lands to help identify the locations of the flower. Helping him with this goal is The Summoner and a guide hired by S.H.I.E.L.D, Kraven the Hunter!

Kraven, feeling there’s an ulterior motive to S.H.I.E.L.D.’s interest in The Savage Lands, uses the opportunity to investigate those who hired him. This sends Spider-Man off course and brings them into contact with Champions who want to exploit the resources of the Savage Lands for themselves. Why is S.H.I.E.L.D. in the Savage Lands? Why do Champions want these mysterious flowers? Find out this month!

Sergei Nikolaievich Kravinoff was once known as the world’s greatest hunter, often killing his prey with his bare hands. Despite his success he grew bored with hunting big game, so he decided to hunt for more dangerous and powerful prey. He chose to hunt Spider-Man, someone he saw as a real challenge worthy of his skills, however his constant failure to defeat Spider-Man led him into a path of villainy and insanity.

MARVEL’s Eternals Sersi Is Now Available on Marvel Contest of Champions

Inspired by Marvel Studios’ Eternals, Sersi enters The Contest in Kabam’s MARVEL Contest of Champions!

Sersi is an Eternal, one of a race of ancient aliens who have lived on Earth for eons in secret. Unlike her fellow Eternals, Sersi favors living among humanity, and doubles as a museum curator while also protecting them from the Deviant threat. With the ability to manipulate matter allowing her to alter the composition of any non-sentient material she touches, Sersi sets out to reconnect with her fellow Eternal, Ikaris, and help recruit them all for one last mission.

MARVEL Contest of Champions’ latest motion comic is themed after Eternals’ Ikaris and Sersi for Kabam’s latest promotional video – “The Eternals: Ikaris and Sersi enter The Battlerealm”
