SUPERNATURAL CHAMPIONS AND TIME TRAVELERS MATERIALIZE IN THE BATTLEREALM

Sorceress AGATHA HARKNESS joins the contest,while SPIDER-MAN (SYMBIOTE) and CABLE get a tune up!Players can add the Cable rework on August 4, Agatha Harkness on August 13, and Spider-Man (Symbiote) rework on August 27. With over 350 Champions in The Contest, players can also add other classic Marvel Super Heroes and Villains such as Scarlet Witch, Wiccan, Deadpool, Cyclops, and more.

AGATHA HARKNESS

Agatha Harkness is an ancient and powerful witch, whose life span stretches back before the Salem Witch Trials. She relies on her wits and unparalleled knowledge of dark and forbidden magic to thrive across multiple eras. She is the mentor of the powerful Scarlet Witch and she also maintains positive relationships with many heroes, but she often finds herself walking a very thin line between ally and villain.

SPIDER-MAN (SYMBIOTE) REWORK OVERHAUL

One of Peter Parker’s most famous and notorious costumes enters The Contest to unleash its alien powers. Cosmic in origins, this dark version of Spidey’s suit has a mind of its own.

★EVENT QUEST – MAIDEN, MOTHER, CRONE [July 8 – August 5]: Agatha Harkness has arrived, or has she been here all along? This wicked expert of witchcraft claims to be assisting heroes such as Wiccan and Nico Minoru investigate mysterious “Symbiomancy” occurrences. However when magic is in the air, nothing is as it seems. Even a friendly face like Spider-Man (Symbiote) can become a villainous new foe.

REVENGE OF LEGENDS EVENT

Winter Soldier has had enough, and been used as a punching bag one too many times. He’s gathered his buddies from Realm of Legends for the Summoner to take on over multiple weeks, ready to take revenge with their new found power. The Realm of Legends Event will cap off with new permanent Challenge content, but be sure to defeat each week while you can to maximize rewards! For Summoners with a worthy resolve, overcoming these challenges will reward you handsomely.

★PHASE 1 [August 12 – September 9]

○Revenge of Legends Quest: An inversion of the REALM OF LEGENDS. Face down multiple weeks of punishing fights and challenging Champions to show that The Summoner is truly the most epic force within The Battlerealm. This full Quest will take place over several weeks, with only its FINAL week’s challenge remaining after this month is over. So Summoners will want to rush to this Boss Fight if they want to play the full (and challenging) experience.

○Retribution of Legends Side Quest: Over four weeks, players will face down the hardest challenges The Contest has to offer, but will be given the upper hand via custom Nodes to ensure this battle feels truly triumphant, not purely punishing. Keep up the fight to earn a free RONAN and take out the final defenders.

○Revenge of Legends Realm Event: Defeat opponents in the Revenge of Legends Quest or Retribution Side Quest.

○Bonus! Defeat a Retribution opponent with a Saga Champion, defeat the final boss in the Retribution of Legends Side Quest, complete a Revenge or Retribution Quest Objective, complete a Target Dummy Objective Tier, and complete the “Revenge is…” or “A Dish Best Served Cold” objectives.

★ PHASE 2 begins on August 26 and runs through September 9! Keep an eye out for Hero Shard Arenas, Arena Solo events, a 7-Hour Login Crystal reward, new Battlepass, exclusive player profile pics, and emotes!

‘WEB OF CHAOS’ BUNDLE GIVEAWAY

Kickstart your roster with 10 Spider-Verse Champions! MCoC is launching the ‘Web of Chaos’ new player bundle giveaway! ○UNLOCK THE EPILOGUE: Upon Completing 9.4, players will receive new solo objectives that will point them on the path to gaining access to the Epilogue, and through it, a Playable Carina Tivan. To unlock the Epilogue, Summoners must:

■Complete Act 9.4

■Achieve 100% Exploration: fully explore every story quest leading up to this point

○THE CHASE FOR CARINA: Summoners must complete objectives within the Epilogue Chapters to get Carina. To unlock the final fight, Summoners must fully rank Carina up, defeating the Ouroborus Bosses at the end of each epilogue.

■Solo Objectives to attain the resources needed to level her up.

■Once you have a fully ranked 7-Star Carina, Chapter 6 finally unlocks.

SHATTERSTAR

Shatterstar, Gaveedra Seven, is a mutant gladiator from the Mojoverse and the time-travelling son of Longshot and Dazzler. Due to his time in the Mojoverse, Shatterstar became extremely skilled in swordsmanship.

★EVENT QUEST: Stars And Martyrs [June 3 – July 8]: MOJO, the malicious master of multiversal multimedia, has decided to change the channel on his schemes. He’s forcing PHYLA-VELL and SHATTERSTAR to give his ratings a boost, but will our heroes cancel this sinister streaming service?

Introducing Towers, a new permanent game mode! Towers challenges Champions’ growth where Defenders can only be defeated at their strongest. WAVE

Pearl Pangan is a swift swimmer hailing from Cebu, Philippines. During an opportunity to use her talents in a study of swimmers, a raid on the facility led to discovering her power of hydrokinesis: the ability to manipulate water. With her newfound powers, she took up the mantle of hero as ‘Wave’, fighting alongside Triumph Division and Agents of Atlas.

GHOST RIDER (REWORK) 

Tricked by the demonic being Mephisto into selling his soul to save a loved one, stunt cyclist Johnny Blaze soon found himself bonded to the Spirit of Vengeance, a being of almost unlimited power from Hell itself. With the power to control Hellfire as well as his mystical Hell Cycle and Hell Chains, Ghost Rider has turned against Mephisto’s purpose and instead uses his newfound abilities to protect the innocent and cast judgment upon the wicked.

EVENT QUEST: In Hot Water [May 6–June 3]: Mephisto is invading Atlantis in search of hidden treasures, and his fiery foe Ghost Rider is on the scene to stop his fiendish plans. However, Namor would prefer aquatic assistance on the team. So Pearl Pangan, aka WAVE, has arrived on The Contest’s shores to help with this devilish dilemma. Will making waves extinguish the flames of evil?

Madelyne Pryor is the current ruler of the hellish dimension known as Limbo and the Goblin

Queen. After experiencing trauma in her turbulent past, Madelyne takes no prisoners with her

powerful scythe and summoning abilities.

➔     EVENT QUEST: Manic Pixie Dream Goblin [March 4-April 1]: Pixie will arrive just in time to help clear up a mystical mess! The Sorcerer Supreme, a student of a time-displaced Dr. Strange, has recruited Pixie and pals to help sort out some malevolent magic and lurking invaders from Limbo. Players will need to fight friend and foe alike, battling back the minions and menace of the mighty monarch Madelyne Pryor. The Manic Pixie Dream Goblin event quest will be available until April  8, 10 AM PT.

WOMEN OF POWER NEW PLAYER BUNDLE GIVEAWAY

The next exclusive bundle for *new players is loading, complete with powerful Champions and the resources you’ll need to unleash their full potential. The Women of Power New Player Bundle will showcase some of the women who shaped the Marvel Universe and players will have the opportunity to add these epic Champions to their roster starting March 7 at 4PM PT.

➔     Women of Power Solo Event [March 11-April 8]: The female developers behind MCoC have specially picked out their favorite Champion profile pics and players will have the opportunity to claim these unique rewards and more through special quests, including Gwenpool’s Gal-Pal Guidebook.

➔     Gwenpool’s Gal-Pal Guidebook [March 11-April 8]: To celebrate International Women’s Day, Gwenpool wants to REALLY show off what some of the mighty women of the Contest are capable of! Players will be granted a free low-rarity Champion and use them exclusively for a series of 3 fights. In the final week, players must use a team of those free Champs to complete a larger map. ➔     7-Star Ascension: For players looking to grow their roster further, Ascension will become a new permanent feature beginning March 5. Ascension lets players power-up specific 7-Star Champions beyond their current power level, up to 11 ranks, by utilizing resources such as Ascension Tokens and Primordial Dust with newly added tiers.

◆      Players will get increased Attack, Health, and Challenge Ratings for their Champion every Ascension.

◆      Players will also earn a new Mechanic called “Might.” A new mechanic that every Champion will have will continuously fill up as you battle your opponent, releasing a burst of energy that deals more damage for every attack.

CELEBRATE BLACK HISTORY MONTH IN THE CONTEST

The Contest of Champions is a home to a diverse gathering of Super Heroes from every possible background and origin. This month MCoC is welcoming the formidable leader of the Jabari Tribe M’BAKU along with war veteran, all-star football player, and living anti-matter containment unit BLUE MARVEL! Players will have the opportunity to obtain M’Baku on Feb. 12, while Blue Marvel can be obtained on Feb. 26.

With over 300 Champions in The Contest, players can also add other classic Marvel Super Heroes and villains such as Captain America (Sam Wilson), Jabari Panther, Killmonger, Patriot, Photon, Prowler, and more.

M’BAKU

The charismatic and formidable leader of the Jabari Tribe, is one of Wakanda’s most powerful warriors and a frequent rival of T’Challa. He is a traditionalist, a worshipper of the White Gorilla,

Ghekre, living with his tribe in the isolated mountains away from the rest of Wakanda due to

ideological differences. He and his tribe reject the technological progress embraced by T’Challa’s

leadership. Though often seen challenging T’Challa’s rule, ultimately his motivations stem from a

deep belief in maintaining Wakanda’s ancient traditions.

BLUE MARVEL

Adam Brashear had always been a prodigy—a college football star with multiple Ph.D.s who earned two Silver Stars serving as a Marine in the Korean War. While leading Project: Perseus, an attempt to harness the power of antimatter, Adam and his fellow Marine Conner Sims were caught in a reactor explosion. Conner was vaporized, but the reaction stabilized within Adam’s body, granting him the amazing powers of the Blue Marvel. When his identity as a Black man was revealed in a titanic battle alongside the Avengers, Adam was asked by the President to retire, as the country was not ready for the most powerful man in America to be openly and unapologetically Black during the 1960’s. For decades, he obliged, but after losing much of his family in another accident, he has since returned to stand against the ever present threats of the modern world.

Marvel Contest of Champions is rolling out a new format for Alliance Quests with “Meta Weeks.” Meta Weeks are a brand-new, optional event type that will be part of the four-week Alliance Quest cycle. 

The format will run over the course of a full week and the event is all about celebrating and rewarding Champions who get stronger over time by making challenging encounters more trivial as you progress. Dive in and check out the new format now!

➔     The sixth annual Summoner’s Choice Champion Vote has concluded and with 56% of the votes, the fans have chosen COLOSSUS (AGE OF APOCALYPSE) as the next Champion to join The Contest! The winner was announced Jan. 30 during MCoC’s livestream and will be introduced to the game this October. More details on the Summoner’s Choice Champion Vote can be found online HERE.

➔     MCoC introduced all-new Dimensional Arcade, rhythm-fighting mode The Concert of Champions where players will be challenged to groove on, rock out, and battle it out to the beat! This brand new mode features music-inspired stages, original tracks, and players can choose from a selection of more musically-inclined Champions…DAZZLER, STAR-LORD, SPIDER-PUNK, and GUILLOTINE (DEATHLESS). Players can check out this limited-time game mode now through Feb. 23.
