The Avengers, X-Men, and Eternals Face Judgement Day

The next Marvel epic is here! From the brilliant mind of superstar writer Kieron Gillen and the incredible talents of acclaimed artist Valerio Schiti comes Judgement Day, a Marvel Universe spanning event launching in July.

Already redefining the Eternals mythos in Eternals, and soon to be shepherding in the next age of mutantkind in Immortal X-Men, Gillen will take his work on both titles as well as recent storylines in Jason Aaron and Javier Garron’s Avengers run for an odyssey that will usher in dramatic developments for these three core Marvel teams. And Schiti, already proven to be a masterful event storyteller in books like Empyre and Inferno, will deliver the breathtaking action and high-stakes thrills that transpire when Super Hero titans clash. Together, these iconic creators have crafted an intense saga that’s destined to take its place among the most impactful events in Marvel Comics history.

The X-Men have achieved immortality and mutants have taken their place as the dominant species on the planet. The Eternals have discovered long hidden knowledge about their species, including a devastating truth about mutantkind. The Avengers have come into direct conflict with the Celestials and are currently using a fallen Celestial as their base of operations, slowly unlocking its secrets… When the Eternals brazenly target the mutant nation of Krakoa, the Avengers try desperately to de-escalate a potentially apocalyptic war. But this is no simple conflict. The Eternals’ purpose cannot be denied and mutantkind’s future will not be threatened. And after the opening battles, new players and revelations for both sides will emerge as the inhabitants of the Marvel Universe are JUDGED by the greatest power they’ve ever come into contact with.

History Comes to Variant Covers with Marvel’s Women’s History Month

This March, Marvel spotlights an all-star lineup of female artists with a new variant cover program commemorating Women’s History Month. Sara Pichelli, Betsy Cola, Jan Bazaldua, Rian Gonzales, Ema Lupacchino, and Karen Darboe will depict some of history’s most inspirational women with a Marvel twist! Fans can see Emma Frost, Sersi, Magik, and Captain Carter pay homage to Queen Elizabeth I, Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, and British suffragettes in gorgeous portrait-style covers that will adorn your favorite Marvel series all month long!

Kieron Gillen and Lucas Werneck Spill Secrets in Immortal X-Men in March 2022

Earlier this week, Marvel Comics announced the next era of X-Men storytelling: Destiny of X. This Second Age of Krakoa will see new titles emerge and existing ones undergo exciting status quo changes as the endless possibilities that await mutantkind are explored! And today, fans can learn more about one of March 2022’s launches–Kieron Gillen and Lucas Werneck’s Immortal X-Men!

Immortal X-Men will focus on the current leaders of mutantkind known as The Quiet Council in an X-Men series ripe with backstabbing, shady alliances, and chilling revelations that will put everything you thought you knew about Krakoa’s future into question! Already proven to be a master of the mutant mythos on books like Uncanny X-Men and Generation Hope, Gillen makes his grand return to the franchise with an ambitious series unlike anything that’s come before in X-Men history. And fresh off his work on Trial of Magneto, Lucas Werneck is ready to use his acclaimed talents to bring all the high-stakes action, heated clashes, and intense DRAMA to life in this first-of-its-kind X-Men title.

Destiny of X Delivers New Titles, Team Shakeups, and More!

Rising out of the ashes of Inferno and emerging out of the vital time-travelling mission in X Lives of Wolverine/X Deaths of Wolverine comes The Second Krakoan Age of X-Men: Destiny of X! Mutantkind’s future is reshaped once more, as Krakoa’s greatest triumphs and most crushing challenges still lie ahead. As last week’s “Choose Your Destiny” teasers showed, the possibilities are endless!

This new era will kick off with new titles such as Immortal X-Men, Knights of X, Legion of X, and X-Men Red, a stellar new creative team takeover on Marauders, and revolutionary status quo changes for continuing titles X-Men, X-Force, New Mutants, and Wolverine. 

Fans can get their first peek at what’s to come in a new promotional image by Leini Francis Yu and Sunny Gho, an epic group shot starring some of the major players of the franchise’s upcoming sagas!
