Hero Collector blasts Into retail with the announcement of NEW Marvel Heavyweights Wave 2 figurines

After a successful reveal at New York Toy Fair earlier this year, Hero Collector – designers, manufacturers, and publishers of high-quality collectibles from across the worlds of pop culture – is proud to announce Wave 2 of their Heavyweights collection featuring the world-famous Super Heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), captured in full cast metal!

These hand-painted figurines will be the second wave of the Hero Collector Heavyweights range, and faithfully reproduce the likenesses of the MCU’s most beloved costumed characters at 1:18 scale (approximately 4-5 inches tall) atop a metal base. Each figurine comes in a stylish collector’s tin, emblazoned with the character’s logo and movie of origin.

With the first wave scheduled to hit retail in September, this second wave will follow in Q1 2021, and feature characters including:

  • Ant Man, the smallest hero around! Scott Lang, ex-con and single father, was hand-picked by genius scientist Hank Pym to keep his awesome technology out of HYDRA’s clutches. The figurine is clad in his iconic shrinking suit from Ant Man, complete with his insect-like helmet.
  • Captain Marvel, the mightiest Avenger of all! Gifted with incredible cosmic powers by alien technology, Carol Danvers spent years as an amnesiac Kree warrior – only to reclaim her past on Earth. The figurine is cracking her knuckles after the battles she faced in Captain Marvel.
  • Star-Lord, the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy! Abducted from Earth as a child, Peter Quill has roamed the galaxy ever since as a legendary outlaw… at least, that’s what he says. The figurine poses with the guns he used to fight Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.
  • War Machine, the armor-plated patriot! Frustrated by Tony’s irresponsible antics in Iron Man 2, Colonel James Rhodes stole and modified an Iron Man suit to become an armored Avenger in his own right. The figurine is wading into battle with all guns blazing – and that’s a lot of guns…

This is all part of Hero Collector’s concerted push into retail with new products, new packaging, and new concepts, designed to reach a larger mainstream audience. The Hero Collector Heavyweights will be available from September 2020 at Hot Topic, comic shops, and specialty retail, and direct from the Eaglemoss shop online.

SDCC 2020: Hero Collector announces brand new ships from The Orville

Hero Collector have announced that their line of collectible starships from The Orville are now available to pre-order!

These die-cast miniatures perfectly capture the ships of the show in exacting detail, each accompanied by a magazine filled with concept art, interviews, and behind-the-scenes details for Seth MacFarlane’s live-action, science fiction TV hit.

First announced during The Orville panel at last year’s San-Diego Comic Con, these high-quality collectible starships measure approximately 5 inches in length, with a special XL version of the USS Orville that comes in at over 10 inches.

  • USS Orville (ECV-197), the eponymous vessel of The Orville! This Exploratory-class vessel was designed for long voyages into uncharted space, carrying nearly 300 crew members and their families.
  • Union Shuttle (ECV-197-1), the sleek shuttlecraft used by the USS Orville’s crew to ferry themselves to other ships and the surfaces of alien planets.

Of course, The Orville is packed with numerous spacefarers from outside of the Planetary Union – from the militarized Moclans to the synthetic Kaylon or fanatical Krill – and after the overwhelming response to this first wave, Hero Collector can confirm that more ships will be joining The Orville Starship Collection in 2021!

New York Comic Con 2017: Eaglemoss Brings The Best of Batman

Gotham’s greatest guardian – along with a few of his most fearsome foes – will wing his way onto the exhibit floor of Gotham’s greatest comic convention, as Eaglemoss Collections shines the spotlight on a wide range of collectibles officially authorized by DC Entertainment and based on fan-favorite depictions of The Batman.

Released under Eaglemoss’ Hero Collector brand, the first four limited edition figures inspired by the award-winning Batman: The Animated Series will be on display at booth #1520. Approximately 5 inches tall, Batman, Penguin, Harley Quinn, and Poison Ivy have all been cast in metallic polyresin and each comes in new retro-style packaging along with a thoroughly researched and illustrated 12-page magazine.

The first three entries in the new line of Batman Universe Collector’s Busts will also be shown and features Batman, The Joker, and Harley Quinn. Averaging close to 5-1/2 inches in height, each of these richly detailed busts is crafted of Polystone resin, individually hand painted and comes with a collector’s magazine, providing an in-depth illustrated history of the character from first appearance to present day.

And no DC Super Hero Collection would be complete without the iconic limited edition MEGA-sized Batman statue, standing nearly 14 inches high, produced in polyresin and expertly hand painted. Only 750 of these beauties have been made and each comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity. An even more rare black-and-white version of the statue, along with MEGA-sized depictions of The Joker and Harley Quinn, will also be on display at NYCC at Booth #1520.

As part of their celebration of New York Comic Con, Eaglemoss has also launched its “Winner Take All Giveaway!” One Grand Prize winner will receive over $350 in Eaglemoss collectibles selected from the Star Trek, DC Comics and Alien & Predator universes while nine First Prize winners will receive their choice of one of those bundles.

New York Comic Con takes place at the Javits Center in NYC on October 5-8, 2017.

Hicks and Dog Alien in Hero Collector Aliens Wave 2

Two of sci-fi cinema’s most recognized characters take center stage this May when Corporal Hicks and the “Dog Alien” make their way into comic shops as part of the Alien & Predator Official Figurine Collection, the most extensive range of classic characters and creatures ever assembled from the Alien, Predator, AVP and Prometheus movie franchises.

Released under Eaglemoss Collections’ new Hero Collector brand and authorized by Twentieth Century FOX Consumer Products, each figure is presented in terrifyingly realistic detail at 1:16 scale and in an iconic pose taken right from the movies.

Straight out of the original Alien and standing at 5” tall, the look on the face of U.S. Colonial Marine Corporal Dwayne Hicks (AUG168859) is one of sheer astonishment, as he checks out a dead facehugger on the tip of his vintage Ithaca Model 37 pump-action shotgun.

Spawned from a four-legged host animal, the Runner or “Dog Alien” (AUG168861) from Aliens is an adult Xenomorph built for speed. At 5 ½” tall with a long and deadly tail swirling up from behind, it’s crouched for action and ready to pounce.

Like all figures in this handcrafted collection, each has been cast in a specially formulated metallic resin and painted by hand.

Priced at $29.95, each figurine comes in a four-color display box and will available in comic shops at the end of May 2017.

Eaglemoss Collections Reveals the First Two Figures in the New Alien & Predator Collection

In celebration of one of science fiction’s most loved and enduring series of films, Eaglemoss Collections has joined with Twentieth Century FOX Consumer Products to answer the demands of generations of sci-fi fans with the introduction of the first and only authorized collection of figurines based on characters from the Alien, Predator, AVP, and Prometheus movie franchises.

The first series of collectibles to be launched under Eaglemoss’ new Hero Collector brand, the Alien & Predator Official Figurine Collection presents these classic characters in stunning yet terrifyingly realistic detail at 1:16 scale.

First up in the collection are two of the most iconic fan favorites. With arms outstretched, the imposing Xenomorph from the original Alien stands approximately 5-1/2 inches tall. Then there’s “Scar,” the commanding Predator from Alien vs. Predator. Having speared his Xenomorphic quarry, he’s close to 7-1/2 inches high. Like all figures in this definitive handcrafted collection, each has been cast in a specially formulated metallic resin and painted by hand.

Priced at $29.95, each figurine comes in a four-color display box and will be invading local comic shops beginning in April 2017.
