Jedi Apprentice Anakin Skywalker is reunited with Padmé Amidala, senator of Naboo, when he and Obi-Wan Kenobi are tasked with investigating an assassination attempt on her life. Anakin and Padmé embark on a forbidden romance while the galaxy is on the brink of war. A new threat has surfaced in the form of a powerful separatist movement, leading to the beginning of the Clone Wars — and signaling doom for the Republic.

Obi-Wan Kenobi Gets its First Trailer

Within seconds it’s hard not to feel the nostalgia with the first trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader. The series stars Ewan McGregor, reprising his role as the iconic Jedi Master, and also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader. Joining the cast are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.

Obi-Wan Kenobi begins streaming May 25 on Disney+.

Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi Cast Revealed

Production for Obi-Wan Kenobi begins soon and Star Wars and Disney has revealed the cast for the series.

Ewan McGregor returns in the title role and will be joined by Hayden Christensen who will reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader. Joining them are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.

Joel Edgerton will likely be returning for his role as Owen Lars which he played in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. He’ll be joined by Bonnie Piesse who played Beru in both those films as well.

Obi-Wan Kenobi will air on Disney+.
