Read the First Issue of Necromancer Bill for Free!

Darby Pop Publishing has posted the first issue of Necromancer Bill on their site to read for free in time for Halloween. The horror-comedy series is by writer Robert Menegus, art by David Brame, with color by Gabriel Roldan, and lettering by Frank Cvetkovic.

“Pet Sematary” meets every Seth Rogen movie ever made as a regular schlub (Bill) is accidentally granted the power of necromancy. In other words, Bill can now raise the dead — which proves not to be as much fun as it sounds. Oh… and did we mention that Bill’s “tutor” is Larry — a talking raven with a substance abuse problem?

In the first issue:

Bill is just a regular schlub who loves gardening and resents being brow-beaten by his ex. When an arcane ritual-gone-wrong accidentally grants Bill the power to reanimate the dead, he is assigned a “mentor” in the form of Larry — a ne’er-do-well raven with a substance abuse problem. And then things go awry.
