Smile tops the weekend box office again
Smile was a repeat at the top of the box office in another rough weekend. The film grossed an estimated $17.6 million to bring its domestic total to $49.9 million. Over the week, the film grossed $25.5 million internationally to bring that total to $40 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $89.9 million after two weeks.
Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile debuted in second place with an estimated $11.5 million. No international total has been reported.
Amsterdam debuted in third place with an estimated $6.5 million. The film also grossed $3.5 million internationally for a total of an even $10 million.
In fourth place was The Woman King which grossed an estimated $5.3 million to bring its domestic total to $54.1 million. Internationally, the film grossed $6.6 million over the week to bring that total to an even $10 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $64.1 million.
Rounding out the top five was Don’t Worry Darling which grossed an estimated $3.5 million to bring its domestic total to $38.5 million. Over the week, the film grossed $19.7 million internationally to bring that total to $30.8 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $69.3 million.
In comic film news…
DC League of Super-Pets debuted on HBO this weekend and grossed $535,000 at the box office. It now stands about $92.5 million after a slow start. Over the week, the film grossed about $4.4 million to bring its international total to $106 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed a little over $198.5 million.
Thor: Love and Thunder grossed an estimated $19,000 as it’s now on Disney+. The film has grossed $343.3 million domestically. Over the week, the film grossed about $360,000 to bring its international total to $417.4 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $760.6 million.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero looks like it held steady at $34.9 million domestically. Internationally, the film gained about $2.1 million to bring that total to $48.5 million. Worldwide, the film has grossed $83.4 million.

Initial numbers has 60 films earning $58,927,041 from 39,154 theaters. That’s a decrease from last weekend’s $63,783,396 from 36,248 theaters and 62 films. The average earning was $1,505.01 this past weekend, a decrease from last weekend’s $1,759.64.
