SILVESTRI & KATZ ‘PILOT SEASON: CROSSHAIR’ SIGNING AT BRAVE NEW WORLD COMICS

GEEKWEEK LIVE FROM BRAVE NEW WORLD STAGE FOLLOWING SIGNING

LOS ANGELES, Calif., October 15, 2010 – Top Cow Productions, Inc. proudly announced today that Top Cow CEO and founder Marc Silvestri and American Original’s Jeff Katz will be doing an in-store signing for their spine-tingling espionage thriller Pilot Season: Crosshair at Brave New World Comics on Saturday, October 16 from 4pm to 6pm.

Following the signing at 6pm, Katz will be bringing his traveling road show of geek experts (and a few surprise celebrity guests) to the Brave New World stage and will be broadcasting live via GeekWeek.com.

Pilot Season: Crosshair centers on the life of Justin Weller, a loving husband and devoted father in the suburbs and former assassin for the CIA who’s been brainwashed to kill the President of the United States. To his horror, Weller has discovered that in less than 48 hours something or someone will trigger his suppressed program and send him into deadly and irreversible action. He must discover his triggering mechanism and uncover who is behind the conspiracy that will pitch the world into chaos.

Pilot Season: Crosshair is created and co-written by Silvestri (X-Men/Dark Avengers: Utopia) and co-writer Katz (Booster Gold) with art by Allan Jefferson (War Machine).

Top Cow Hires Eisner Award-Winning Retailer As Direct Market Liaison

TOP COW HIRES EISNER AWARD-WINNING RETAILER AS DIRECT MARKET LIAISON

LOS ANGELES, Calif., August 3, 2010 – Top Cow Productions, Inc. proudly announced today that Atom! Freeman will be joining the Top Cow team as a Direct Market Liaison, effective, August 2nd, 2010.

In an effort to better support the needs of Top Cow’s valued Direct Market retail partners, Atom! Freeman will be working directly with retailers to make sure that the new standard of quality that Top Cow Productions has brought to their entire line is represented on store shelves.

“As a retailer, I was continually being surprised both at the quality of the work Top Cow was putting out and the sales they were generating on our shelves,” said Freeman. “This led to many conversations with Filip Sablik which eventually led to me having a desk to go to work at every day. I love this industry.”

“Atom! was part of a team that won the 2008 Eisner Spirit of Retail Award,” added Top Cow Publisher Filip Sablik.  “He’s been one of the retailers I go to regularly for insight and advice on the direct market and Brave New World is one of my favorite stores in the country. When the opportunity presented itself to hire Atom! to help us in our efforts in the direct market, I leapt at the chance.”.

A co-owner of Brave New World Comics in Santa Clarita, CA, Freeman will still be splitting his duties between the Top Cow offices and running promotions for BNW.

Freeman has no fear that the customers of BNW will miss him: “My wife and partner, Portlyn, has such a strong grip on the day to day operations of BNW that I’m sure it will spin like a top. Plus, which face would you rather look at when come in to pick up your books?”
