Graphic Policy’s Top Comic Picks this Week!

Wednesdays are new comic book day! Each week hundreds of comics are released, and that can be pretty daunting to go over and choose what to buy. That’s where we come in

Each week our contributors choose what they can’t wait to read this week or just sounds interesting. In other words, this is what we’re looking forward to and think you should be taking a look at!

Find think below, and what comics you should be looking out for

Absolute Superman #18 (DC Comics) – We’re pretty sucked in to this series and excited to see what comes next after these last few issues.

Bizarro Year None #1 (DC Comics) – This is supposedly going to be a definitive origin and we want to see if the Bizarro schtick can go beyond small doses.

Daredevil #1 (Marvel) – It’s a new volume with a new creative team and we’re diving back in to see what’s new with Matt and the direction the creative team takes him.

Deadpool April Pool’s Day #1 (Marvel) – Gail Simone writing Deadpool again. Nuff said.

Deluge #5 (Ignition Press) – The series has been solid survival horror as a prison floods and there’s something in the waters. We have no idea who the hell is surviving this one.

G.I. Joe A Real American Hero Sssilent Missions Baroness #1 (Skybound) – A new round of silent issues are here!

K-Pop Demon Hunters: The Movie in Comics (Random House) – It’s the official graphic novel adaptation of the hit animated film and we’re honestly a bit surprised we’re not seeing more comics based in the world. If word gets out about it, we expect it to be a hit.

MAD About DC #1 (DC Comics) – We miss regularly new Mad releases so pumped to see what these comic creators do.

Magic: The Gathering – Untold Stories – Jace #1 (Dark Horse) – We didn’t totally enjoy the Jace series from BOOM!, but we’re intrigued to see what this does differently.

Mrs. Orwell (23rd Street) – We’re beyond excited to check out this graphic novel about George Orwell’s wife. From the description, she had a hell of a life.

Royals #1 (Image Comics) – Twin brothers Paul and Castor have crafted the perfect poker hustle using their uncanny telepathic connection. How has this not been done before?

Speed Racer #7 (Mad Cave Studios) – The series has been solid with every issue delivering action and family drama. You don’t need to be a fan of the classic series to enjoy this one. Great story and great art equals a can’t miss.

Wonder Man #1 (Marvel) – With the television show now released, we’re intrigued to see where this comic series goes.
