Graphic Policy’s Top Comic Picks this Week!

Absolute Wonder Woman #18

Wednesdays are new comic book day! Each week hundreds of comics are released, and that can be pretty daunting to go over and choose what to buy. That’s where we come in

Each week our contributors choose what they can’t wait to read this week or just sounds interesting. In other words, this is what we’re looking forward to and think you should be taking a look at!

Find think below, and what comics you should be looking out for

Absolute Martian Manhunter #10 (DC Comics) – The series has been a trippy read with some amazing visuals and crazy concepts that feel like an episode of X-Files dosed with LSD than an “Absolute” comic.

Absolute Wonder Woman #18 (DC Comics) – We want to see Wonder Woman take on Zatanna!

DC/Marvel Superman/Spider-Man #1 (DC Comics/Marvel) – The new crossovers between the two publishers has been a bit mixed so far but we’ always excited to sit down and see what’s inside. It feels like a release that takes us back to reading comics as a kid.

Feral #21 (Image Comics) – The series has rocked and we honestly have no idea where it’s going to take us. It’s just absolutely fantastic, tense, horror.

Florida Hippopotamus Cocaine Massacre #2 (Mad Cave Studios) – The title says it all. It’s that insane and absolutely awesome.

Is Ted OK? #2 (Mad Cave Studios) – The first issue was trippy sci-fi that reminded us of Philip K. Dick and we’re excited to see what the second issue brings.

Rafael Garcia: Henchman #1 (Titan Comics) – The title is what really got us interested. There’s a lot of comics about the various henchmen and they tend to be pretty damn funny.

Star Trek: The Last Starship #6 (IDW Publishing) – We’ve been enjoying this series that takes place after “the Burn” and explores the Federation as it attempts to rebuild post disaster.

Statues: Junji Ito Story Collection (VIZ Media) – A new manga collection of horror stories from Junji Ito! That’ll always make our must read list.

Ultimate Endgame #3 (Marvel) – The event has been a bit mixed overall but we’re bought into the ultimate Universe at this point and need to see where this goes.

White Sky #2 (Image Comics) – The first issue was really intriguing introducing us to a zombie-ish type world but instead of zombies, it’s ghost-like creatures.

Wolverine: Weapons Of Armageddon #2 (Marvel) – The next Marvel event is laying the groundwork in this series and Captain America.
