Geralt’s adventures continues in The Witcher Omnibus Volume 2

Dark Horse Books and CD Projekt Red present a new collection: The Witcher Omnibus Volume 2. The comic miniseries collected in this omnibus are written by Bartosz Sztybor and Aleksandra Motyka. Joining them are artists Marianna Strychowska, Amad Mir, Vanesa R. Del Rey, and Nil Vendrell. Colors for the comics are by Lauren Affe, Hamidreza Sheykh, Jordie Bellaire, and Miquel Muerto. The comics are lettered by Steve Dutro, Aditya Bidikar, and Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou. The Witcher Omnibus Volume 2 features cover art by Evan Cagle. 

This new Omnibus is a collection of more than 300 pages of action, mystery, and suspense featuring Geralt of Rivia in three standalone stories. These include encounters with familiar faces, to a small town besieged by a pack of foglets, and to the dwellings of witches. 

The Witcher Omnibus Volume 2 collects The Witcher: Of Flesh and Flame #1-4, The Witcher: Fading Memories #1-4, The Witcher: Witch’s Lament #1-4, and the Free Comic Book Day 2021 short story “The Witcher: Once Upon a Time in the Woods,” and includes a cover gallery, expanded sketchbook section, and more.

The Witcher Omnibus Volume 2 will be available in bookstores September 12, 2023 and comic shops September 13, 2023. It is available for pre-order now on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and at your local comic shop and will retail for $29.99.

Dark Horse brings The Umbrella Academy and The Witcher to New Comic Book Day

For Free Comic Book Day, Dark Horse Comics is bringing The Umbrella Academy/The Witcher to comic shops. Free Comic Book Day takes place on May 6, 2023. 

Presenting fan-favorites for FCBD: a squad of superpowered siblings and the infamous monster hunter! 

In The Umbrella Academy: Safe, Hargreeves and Abhijit embark on an interdimensional journey and find a cosmic horror that will have repercussions for our heroes and the universe. This short story is co-written by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, illustrated by Gabriel Bá, colored by Dave Stewart and lettering by Blambot’s Nate Piekos. The cover art for this issue is also provided by Bá and Stewart.

Then, in The Witcher: Frog Kiss, Geralt must uncover why the young women in Novigrad are turning into frogs! This short story is written by Bartosz Sztybor, illustrated by Fabio Violante, colored by Igor Monti and lettering by Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou.

Be sure to pick up this Free Comic Book Day issue in anticipation for the release of the final season of The Umbrella Academy and Season 3 of The Witcher, both coming to Netflix in 2023.

Cavill is out and Hemsworth is in for The Witcher Season 4

Is there already fallout from Henry Cavill‘s return as the Man of Steel? News broke today that The Witcher will get a new lead for the fourth season. Netflix announced that Cavill will be exciting the series after three seasons and Liam Hemsworth will take over.

The third season of The Witcher is expected to debut in summer 2023. A four episode prequel series, The Witcher: Blood Origin starring Sophia Brown, Michelle Yeoh and Laurence O’Fuarain, will debut December 25.

It’s unknown exactly why Cavill is stepping down but it was recently announced he would return as Superman in DC’s movie universe. In a 2021 story in The Hollywood Reporter, Cavill said he planned to follow through with the series with a focus on it lasting seven seasons.

Liam Hemsworth is mainly known for The Hunger Games where he played Gale Hawthorne.

Geralt confronts evil in The Witcher: The Lesser Evil

Dark Horse Books in partnership with CD PROJEKT RED follow up the successful The Witcher: A Grain of Truth graphic novel with the second graphic novel adaptation from Andrzej Sapkowski’s acclaimed short story collection, The Last Wish! The Witcher: The Lesser Evil is a standalone story that’s perfect for new and returning The Witcher fans alike. Story adaptation by Jacek Rembiś, art by Adam Gorham, colors by Jordie Bellaire, letters by Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou, and cover art by Kai Carpenter. 

A tragic tale of passion, vindication, and the root of evil is presented in this adaptation of the original prose short story.

In search of a reward, Geralt brings the carcass of a slain creature to a small town where he is told it may be of use to the local sorcerer—but the mage isn’t who he is alleged to be. In hiding for his life, he requests Geralt’s help in slaying the monster who seeks to murder him: a young woman said to have been born under the Curse of the Black Sun, a prophecy of inborn evil. He declares that she is more a monster than the creature presented before him. 

Geralt later encounters the woman, who asserts that it is the sorcerer who is the true monster—committing unspeakable crimes at the behest of his superstitious beliefs. With the boundaries blurred between the evil that is done and the evil done in return, Geralt is met with a quandary. The face of evil is ever-changing and his verdict, whether by choice or by force, can only lead to tragedy.

Dark Horse has provided an exclusive first look at the covers to The Witcher: Ballad of Two Wolves #2.

Geralt is caught in a web of lies as the truth behind the werewolf is distorted by the townsfolk and Piglet sisters’ own agendas. But if it’s not slaughter that the wolf craves, then what is?

The Witcher: Ballad of Two Wolves #2 is written by Bartosz Sztybor with art by Miki Montlló and lettering by Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou.

Dark Horse announces The Witcher: The Ballad of Two Wolves

Dark Horse Comics and CD Projekt Red present an all-new story following Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher: The Ballad of Two Wolves #1. This new series is written by Bartosz Sztybor. Sztybor is joined by artist and colorist Miki Montlló, as well as letterer Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou.

Hailed as the greatest monster slayer, the Witcher Geralt is beckoned to the town of Grimmwald. When a strange occurrence stirs murmurs of a werewolf on the prowl, rumors spread about the peculiar arrival of three Piglet sisters. The Witcher returns to Dark Horse with new Figures from Season 2

Dark Horse Comics, in partnership with Netflix, have announced the continuation to its high-end figure line based on the hit series The Witcher. These deluxe hand-painted plastic figures feature details as they are seen in Season 2. The three figures coming out from this line are the Ciri Figure, the Vesemir Figure, and the Geralt Figure.

Princess Cirilla, or Ciri, is now united with Geralt after hiding and running for her life from the Nilfgaardian forces. Ciri travels to Kaer Morhen with Geralt, where he and other Witchers will train her as she continues to uncover more about her mysterious powers.

Vesemir is the oldest and most experienced Witcher at Kaer Morhen, as well as mentor and father figure to Geralt and the other remaining Witchers. Vesemir also plays an important role in Ciri’s training in what it means to be a Witcher.

Outfitted in his new armor, the start of season 2 sees Geralt now serving as warden of Princess Cirilla. She is his destiny, and he takes her to the Witchers’ home of Kaer Morhen to protect and train her.

The Ciri Figure stands at 8.5’’ tall, with the Vesemir Figure standing at 9.2” tall and the Geralt Figure standing at 9.5” tall. Each figure will contain their own display base that stands at 1” tall with a diameter of 6”. The Netflix’s The Witcher Season 2 Figures will retail for $59.99 and are available for purchase worldwide on February 2023.
