Ben Templesmith’s art and writing showcased in IDW’s first creator-based app
San Diego, CA (January 26, 2010) – Introducing another great addition to the company’s growing line of digital comics, IDW Publishing is proud to announce Templesmith Comics, a collection of comics by one of the industries most unconventionally brilliant creators, Ben Templesmith. A free storefront application offering in-app purchases, Templesmith Comics is now available exclusively for the Apple iPadTM, iPhone® and iPod touch®.

IDW, the first comics publisher to launch its own “in app purchase” storefronts for the iPhone and iPod touch, brings its offering to five storefronts with the new Templesmith Comics. This 
creator-based app joins IDW’s existing storefronts: G.I. JOE Comics, TRANSFORMERS Comics, Star Trek, and IDW Comics. All IDW store front apps are powered by iVerse.
Available as a free application through iTunes, Templesmith Comics comes with 3 free books and the option to purchase over 30 for either $.99 or $1.99 each. New books will be added regularly as IDW’s Templesmith catalog continues to grow. Each digital comic has been specifically formatted to optimize reading for both iPad and iPhone. IDW currently has over 650 individual issues available through the App Store, with more available every week.
