Cartoon Network Series Panels and Events Lineup

 for 2011 San Diego Comic-Con International

In 2011 Cartoon Network will transport fans attending San Diego Comic-Con International to the unpredictable and exciting world of Adventure Time!  The Land of Ooo comes to Comic Con and to the streets of San Diego with an Adventure Time themed booth, Pizzeria and the first-ever Adventure Time Parade.

Based on the hit show, Cartoon Network’s booth will feature a massive one-of-a-kind inflatable of series star Jake, with Finn and Lady Rainicorn along for the ride.  Fans will be able to take photos set in the Land of Ooo with Adventure Time characters, collect five exclusive Adventure Time buttons, participate in an open casting call to audition as their favorite Adventure Time character and attend a star-studded panel filled with live readings, giveaways, and more!

Cartoon Network once again goes beyond the San Diego Convention Center with an even bigger presence, this time based around the massively popular show Adventure Time! Visit the Cartoon Network Pizzeria (Ciro’s Pizzeria, 536 Market Street, Between 5th and 6th in the Gaslamp Quarter) from Wednesday, July 20–Sunday, July 24 for a unique, fully immersive takeover. The restaurant brings you into the world of Adventure Time with floor-to-ceiling décor, episodes and clips, and a custom Jake plush free with purchase throughout the entire convention (while supplies last). Also, brand ambassadors throughout the Gaslamp District will distribute coupons for special Happy Hour free food and drink each day.

Every day during the convention an Adventure Time parade featuring Finn, Jake, Ice King, Princess Bubblegum, Lumpy Space Princess, and Lady Rainicorn will wind its way through the Gaslamp District!

Other Cartoon Network series will be showcased at San Diego Comic-Con International with talent and giveaways at convention panels including the exciting action of Ben 10, Generator Rex, Young Justice, Green Lantern: The Animated Series, ThunderCats, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the hilarious antics of comedy hits like Regular Show, The Amazing World of Gumball, The Problem Solverz, The Looney Tunes Show and many more!

Fans can also tune into Cartoon Network for “Cartoon Network’s Big Fan Weekend” featuring Andrew W.K. (host, Destroy Build Destroy) interviewing popular Cartoon Network show creators and talent live from the convention floor! All weekend long viewers tuning in to Cartoon Network will get first looks at upcoming new movies and series as well as exclusives and sneak peeks of their favorite returning series.

WB PANEL: Green Lantern: The Animated Series Video Presentation and Q&A

Warner Bros. Animation brings the Green Lantern to television in an all-new CG animated action series for Cartoon Network from world-renowned producer, artist and animator Bruce Timm (Batman: The Animated Series). Based upon the DC Comics super hero, Green Lantern: The Animated Series centers on Hal Jordan and his partner Kilowog who find themselves alone on the edge of the Guardian Frontier fighting off an invasion by the deadly Red Lantern Corps. Timm will headline a panel — moderated by Warner Bros. Animation’s Sam Register (Teen Titans) — which will also feature producer Giancarlo Volpe (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) and producer/story editor Jim Krieg (Ben 10: Alien Swarm). In addition to the Q&A, fans in attendance will be treated to footage of this highly anticipated new series prepared exclusively for Comic-Con.

Comic-Con, Ho! From the moment this series was announced, fans have answered the call — now, the wait is finally over as Warner Bros. Animation is proud to bring the fans at Comic-Con the world premiere of this all-new reimagining of the beloved ’80s franchise. Lion-O, Tygra, Panthro, Cheetara, Wily Kit, Wily Kat and Snarf are back! After the screening, producers Michael Jelenic (Batman: The Brave and the Bold) and Ethan Spaulding (Avatar: The Last Airbender), art director Dan Norton (G.I. WB PANEL: Young Justice Screening and Q&A

Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Miss Martian, Red Arrow and Superboy — these aren’t your average sidekicks and this isn’t your average cartoon. In a short amount of time, and with just a small number of episodes, fans have embraced this new action-adventure series as Warner Bros. Animation has brought some of their favorite DC heroes to life. Following a special screening, producers Brandon Vietti (Batman: Under the Red Hood) and Greg Weisman (Gargoyles), lead character designer Phil Bourassa (Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths) and additional members of the creative team will be on hand to answer your burning questions on what the future holds for “the team.” Young Justice Season 1, Part 1 is available on DVD now.

WB PANEL: Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated Screening and Q&A

A Day Long Celebration of Ben 10 Includes Marathon, Sweepstakes and Special Hour-Long Premiere

Along with Ben 10: Ultimate Alien Take Over at New York Comic Con

Cartoon Network celebrates a landmark day for its iconic global franchise, Ben 10, online, on-air, with the fans and at stores with a special multi-platform promotion culminating on October 10, 2010, otherwise known as 10-10-10! Ben 10 has been one of Cartoon Network’s most successful original series since first premiering on the network in January 2006. The franchise has since spawned three animated series, one animated movie, two live-action movies, a widely-popular consumer products line and has captured the imaginations of viewers on a global scale.

On Sunday, 10-10-10, Cartoon Network will present a Ben 10: “Ultimate” Marathon from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. (ET, PT) leading up to an hour-long special premiere of two Ben 10: Ultimate Alien episodes from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. (ET, PT). Fans can get in on the action by entering to win the Ben 10 Ultimate Prize Pack by submitting codes that will appear in the bottom corner of the screen during the marathon to www.Ben10UltimatePrizePack.com from 3:00 p. m. – 11:59 p. m (ET, PT). Celebrate Ben 10 on 10.10.10 with the cast of Ben 10: Ultimate Alien

Cartoon Network and Adult Swim will host a number of highly-anticipated panels, fan events and autograph signings at 2010 New York Comic Con at the Jacob K. Javits Center, Friday, October 8 through Sunday October 10, 2010.  See the full lineup for both networks below; please note all times, dates and locations are subject to change.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8

ADULT SWIM: Childrens Hospital

Check out the Childrens Hospital panel and hear from the show’s creative team led by Rob Corddry (Hot Tub Time Machine, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart) and Jon Stern (producer of The Ten and Scotland, PA). They will be joined by members of their ensemble cast including Rob Huebel (I Love You Man, Human Giant) and Erinn Hayes (Parenthood, Worst Week).  Childrens Hospital is a live-action comedy that explores the emotional struggles and sexual politics of a group of doctors charged with healthy libidos. Their dedication to their personal lives is relentless, interrupted only by the occasional need to treat sick children.  Childrens Hospital airs Sundays at midnight (ET/PT) on Adult Swim.

Adult Swim panel featuring Delocated! show creator/executive producer and star Jon Glaser.  After testifying against the Russian Mafia, “Jon” and his family are uprooted and start living undercover through the witness protection program.  After existing quietly in an anonymous suburb, “Jon” accepts an offer for the family to participate in a reality show based on their lives.  In order to protect their identity with television audiences—and more importantly, the Russian mob family the Mirminsky’s—they wear ski masks and have their voices disguised.  As part of the deal, the family is relocated to a sweet loft in New York City, where the series will be filmed.

Jon Glaser (“Jon”) and series co-stars), Kevin Dorff (Mike), Jerry Minor (Mighty Joe Jon, the Black Blond), Steve Cirbus (Sergei), and series executive producer John Lee will discuss the series and answer questions. Now expanded to 30 minutes, season two of Delocated! airs Thursdays at midnight and Sundays at 10:00 p.m. on Adult Swim.
