Marvel Celebrates the Launch of Marvel Cosmic Invasion with Variant Covers

A cosmic battle erupts later this year in Marvel Cosmic Invasion, an upcoming beat ‘em up arcade-style game from Dotemu and Tribute Games, in collaboration with Marvel Games. To celebrate the launch, Marvel Comics will produce 12 Marvel Cosmic Invasion Variant Covers which will be featured on titles throughout January and February.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion allows players to choose 15 playable heroes from all corners of the Marvel Universe, including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Nova, Wolverine, and Venom. The variant covers will spotlight the official in-game designs for this captivating roster of characters, each reflecting the game’s retro art style, a tribute to one of Marvel’s most iconic storytelling eras.

After an unprecedented attack is launched across the galaxy, all life hangs in the balance. Marvel’s most legendary heroes, both earth-born and cosmic, will join forces in a star-spanning brawling adventure against the deadly Annihilation Wave. From New York City to the depths of the Negative Zone, the future of the Universe will be fought for across the stars in Marvel Cosmic Invasion!

Marvel Cosmic Invasion is being developed by Tribute Games and Dotemu and evokes popular side-scrollers from the 90s. Marvel Cosmic Invasion will be out this year on consoles and PC. It will support four-player drop-in/drop-out local and online co-op as well as crossplay.
