Games Workshop Pre-Order Preview: Angron Transfigured and Skitarii for Horus Heresy, Middle-Earth Strategy Game, Made to Order Warriors of Chaos of the Old World, and more!
It’s a mixed pre-order week with releases for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy, Warhammer: The Old World, and the Middle-Earth Strategy Battle Game. See what you’ll be able to order starting Saturday, January 17.
Angron Transfigured is finally here after close to a year from its first reveal. The miniature depicts the Primarch of the World Eaters fully in the throes of Chaos corruption, as he was during the Siege of Terra. It comes mounted on a scenic display base and is fully fit for games of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy, with rules found in the Liber Hereticus book.
Angron Transfigured is a single pose resin miniature recommended for experienced hobbyists.
Lotara Sarrin was the captain of Angron’s flagship. As Mistress of the Conqueror, Sarrin was one of the perishingly few unaugmented humans who held respect and influence within the World Eaters – not least for her formidable will and no-nonsense attitude. She is a powerful support asset on the battlefield able to call orbital strikes from her ship, and a beautifully detailed resin miniature that belongs in your World Eaters collection.
Skitarii Battle Group collected 18 brand new miniatures that can be run as a dedicated Skitarri army or allied into an existing force. The box features 16 multi-part plastic Skitarii Battle-Pilgryms armed with voltlock arquebuses, which can be fielded as 2 units of 8 or a single large unit, and a new plastic Vultarax Stratos-automata for airborne support. This force is led by a Battle-Pilgrym Marshal, who comes with 3 head options, a choice of voltlock handgun or archaeotech pistol for the left hand, and a choice of phase claw, corpusant stave, or auctorit sceptre for his right hand. The set also includes one Mechanicum Macro Constructs transfer sheet containing 394 transfers.
Journal Tactica: Skitarii: The Steel Hand of Mars is a 48-page supplement for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. It contains full rules for using the new units found in the Skitarii Battle Group box along with multiple ways to include them in an army, plus extensive background lore about their operations and organisation at the time of the Horus Heresy. The book also details new fast-paced Relic Hunt Missions that throw your armies into a smash-and-grab scramble for valuable artifacts, along with a Legendary Mission that pits the Skitarii Conclaves against a force of Imperial Fists trying to wrest technological secrets from the Vaults of Tharsis. It will be available to pre-order in physical and digital ePub editions.
The Path of Cirith Ungol: Shelob & Gollum allows you to relive the chilling attack from Lord of the Rings: The Reutrn of the King. The set features three plastic miniatures for the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game. Shelob is a terrifying creature able to paralyse enemies she doesn’t kill and wrap up unfortunate prey with sticky webs, while Gollum (or sometimes Sméagol) is his usual treacherous self who excels at sneaking around unseen. This set also includes a webbed-up Frodo miniature that can be used as an objective marker in the Bravery of Master Samwise scenario found in the new Treachery of Gollum journal.
Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game Journal: The Treachery of Gollum is a 48-page supplement that features nine new Narrative Scenarios and a linked campaign system. This supplement is an excellent companion for your adventures in the caves above Cirith Ungol, including new game rules and a host of hobby guides for getting the most out of your miniatures – from painting Shelob and Gollum to creating terrain for terrifying webbed caverns, the Dead Marshes, and the dank sewers beneath Osgiliath.
The Swan Knights of Dol Amroth are among the finest warriors available to Gondor, known for their intense valour and peerless swordsmanship. Foot Knights of Dol Amroth is a set of six Forge World resin miniatures contains a Captain of Dol Amroth, a Knight with the Banner upgrade, a Knight with the War Horn upgrade, and three Knights with shields and hand weapons. They can all be assembled as Knights with shields and hand weapons. Each set includes three each of three shield designs that can be equipped to any miniature, as well four optional unhelmeted heads. Rules for these models can be found in the Armies of Middle-earth book.
The Cirith Ungol Dice Set is a set of eight matching dice, cast in smoky black plastic with white pips and a spider-like icon on the six face to represent Shelob herself.
Made to Order: Warriors of Chaos Miniatures allows you to get some classic miniature kits for your Warhammer: The Old World forces. The rest are comprised of a Chaos Lord on Chaos Steed kitted out in heavy armour with a hand weapon and shield, a set of three classic Chaos Sorcerers in beautifully characterful outfits, a Chaos Sorcerer with a Lore Familiar, and a set of five metal Chaos Warhounds.
