This weekend, Valiant Entertainment is heading south for HeroesCon 2013 in Charlotte, NC – the largest independent comic convention in the United States!

This weekend, the Summer of Valiant is sweeping into Charlotte, NC for HeroesCon’s landmark 30th anniversary! From Friday, June 22 through Sunday, June 24, Valiant Entertainment will be boothside for a jam-packed weekend full of signings, portfolio reviews, panel appearances and con-only items!

Stop by booth 228 for signings from the chart-topping creative team of Robert Venditti & Cary Nord (X-O Manowar) and red hot artist Clayton Henry (Archer & Armstrong)! Arena Comics Launches Superhero-schizophrenic Splitsville During HeroesCon 2012

Arena Comics is launching their first exciting new title Splitsville at HeroesCon 2012 which is being held on June 21-23 2012 in the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, NC.

Written by Ben Fisher and penciled by Kevin Stokes, the first issue of Splitsville will be released in a beautiful special edition hardcover packed with extras, including sketches, pin-ups, and script samples. Don’t miss out on the book Broken Frontier calls “startlingly unique,” “razor-sharp” and “delightfully wicked!”

Splitsville is a 3 issue mini-series, which will sport a HeroesCon 30th Anniversary Variant cover, limited to 200 copies. Splitsville will be solicited via Diamond in months to come.

Synopsis:
Stalwart is the world’s only superhero and his arch-nemesis, Master Mayhem, the only super-villain. What neither knows, however, is that they are the same man- two halves of a split personality. But their devious sidekicks know the truth – and have made millions exploiting the situation.

The system appears flawless… until a brash new super heroine unexpectedly arrives on the scene and publically challenges the arrogant Stalwart to a not-so-friendly wager regarding Master Mayhem’s defeat. With the sidekicks’ elaborate con on the brink of total collapse, will anyone survive?

Splitsville is the first book to the released by Arena Comics.
Splitsville will be published in three issues, with each installment being a high-end hard cover filled with behind the scenes extras and concept sketches.

Baltimore Comic-Con Heads South to HeroesCon This Weekend!

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – June 2, 2011 – Cards, Comics & Collectibles and the Baltimore Comic-Con will be heading down to North Carolina this weekend to attend the 29^thAnnual HeroesCon, being held at the Charlotte Convention Center, located at 501 S. College Street, Charlotte, NC 28202.

HeroesCon is one of the longest-running comic conventions in the country and is promoted by Sheldon Drum, owner of the Charlotte retail store Heroes Aren’t Hard to Find.

While at the show, be sure to swing by the Cards, Comics & Collectibles booths (#’s 626, 628, 639, 725, 727 and 729) to pick up Artist Alley and Exhibitor registration forms and to find out more information about ticket packages for Stan Lee’s appearance at this year’s Baltimore Comic-Con. Last week, it was officially announced that Stan Lee would be the Guest of Honor at this year’s show, which will take place August 20-21, 2011 at the Baltimore Convention Center.

“We’re very excited to be heading down to Charlotte for the show,” said Marc Nathan, show promoter of the Baltimore Comic-Con and owner of Cards, Comics & Collectibles. “Sheldon puts on a great, family-friendly show each and every year.”
