Good Grief. The Voice of Charlie Brown Arrested.

Charlie Brown 1

It seems the icons of childhoods are being taken down one by one. First there’s the Elmo molestation stories, and now the voice of Charlie Brown has been arrested on 12 felony counts. Those charges include stalking and making death threats, four counts of threatening death and one stalking charge involve four victims, including a San Diego Police sergeant. There’s other incidents still being investigated.

Peter Robbins was arrested as he tried to cross the border back into the United States from Mexico. When he crossed the border, a search found out there was a warrant for his arrest.

The actor portrayed Charlie for most of the Charlie Brown specials like A Boy Names Charlie Brown, Charlie Brown’s All Stars!, A Charlie Brown Christmas, You’re in Love, Charlie Brown, He’s Your Dog Charlie Brown and It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. He was 9 years old when he was cast for the role in 1965 and his final role was when he was 13.

Robbins plead not guilty this past Wednesday to the charges in San Diego County Superior Court. He faces up to nine years in state prison. The prosecutor has said Robbins stalked and made threats to his ex-girlfriend.

Robbins’ bail was set at $550,000 and was ordered to have no contact with the two people involved in the case and not to possess a gun. A readiness hearing for Robbins has been set for February 22 and a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for March 22.
