On Friday, we broke the news that Diamond had filed a motion to change its chapter 11 status to chapter 7. The move was due to bank lender JPMorgan Chase unwillingness to provide more loans so Diamond could operate while going through chapter 11. Now, the court will appoint an individual to liquidate Diamond’s remaining assets to pay off its creditors and remaining bills.

As part of their filing, Diamond asked for an expedited hearing on the motion. Today, the court approved the hearing for December 16 at 10am ET. Though… the follow up official notification says December 15. We’re assuming Tuesday is the correct date.
