Baltimore Comic-Con Kids Area Offers Comic Classes, Crafts, and Cool Activities

Baltimore’s Inner Harbor hosts the 20th annual Baltimore Comic-Con on October 18-20, 2019 at the Baltimore Convention Center. Tickets can be purchased at the Baltimore Comic-Con website.

The Kids Love Comics Pavilion is back in Baltimore this October 18-20 for the Baltimore Comic-Con, offering a variety of family-friendly activities and how-to’s for kids of all ages. Kids can learn how to draw werewolves, design Lego heroes, or create their own Pokemon in a collection of fun classes taught by actual comic book creators! Age and skill are less important than imagination and heart in these fun mini-classes, where kids will learn to unlock their inner artist. Also on the agenda at the Kids Love Comics Pavilion is Super Hero University, where kids will design their own secret identity, complete with mask, cape, and super emblem!

Hosted by comics creators and brothers Mark and Chris Mariano, and visited throughout the weekend by award-winning comics creators like Carolyn Belefski (Curls), John Gallagher (Max Meow: Cat Crusader), werewolf comics great Chris Flick, and Jamar Nicholas (Leon, Protector of the Playground), Kids Love Comics offers an area within the show floor where kids and their parents can take a break from the hustle and bustle of the comic booths. Comics and crafts meet drawing and writing, to form a fun weekend experience for the future comics fans and creators of tomorrow.

Besides the fun classes and crafts, the Kids Love Comics Area hosts over 40 kids comics creators, offering fun and fabulous graphic novels that kids will love. This year’s guests include Kata Kane (Altar Girl), John Patrick Green (Kitten Construction Company), Dan Parent (Archie), Gregg Schigiel (PixSpongebob Squarepants), J. Robert Deans (Shakes the Cow), Marcus Williams (Tuskegee Heirs), Chris Giarrusso (G-Man), and many more. This year’s guest list for Kids Love Comics is growing right up to the Baltimore Comic-Con October 18-20.
