Graphic Policy’s Top Comic Picks this Week!
Wednesdays are new comic book day! Each week hundreds of comics are released, and that can be pretty daunting to go over and choose what to buy. That’s where we come in
Each week our contributors choose what they can’t wait to read this week or just sounds interesting. In other words, this is what we’re looking forward to and think you should be taking a look at!
Find think below, and what comics you should be looking out for
Beneath The Trees Where Nobody Sees: Rite Of Spring #5 (IDW Publishing) – Solid horror, we’re fully expecting all hell to break loose soon.
C.O.R.T.: Children Of The Round Table #5 (DC Comics) – This series has been fantastic. An all-ages series, it twists the Knights of the Round Table concept for a modern take with some solid twists so far. We want this to go on for as long as possible it’s so good.
Crownsville #3 (Oni Press) – One of the best comics on the shelf right now. The series features fantastic art but also blends real history and horror as the real world past literally haunts the characters of the series.
DC K.O. #3 (DC Comics) – The event has been interesting and better than the video game inspired fight we were expecting. We’re intrigued to see where it goes and what the next level brings.
Dungeons Of Doom #1 (Marvel) – There’s a new event on the horizon and it seems like this will be a piece of the lead up as we continue to explore the fallout of “One World Under Doom.”
G.I. Joe #17 (Skybound) – The “Dreadnok War” has been fun so far and it’s not just a fun ride, but also setting up something intriguing after.
Knull #1 (Marvel) – Knull is getting the spotlight as things are building to something involving the character.
Space Ghost Volume 2 #7 (Dynamite Entertainment) – We keep saying it, one of the best comics on the shelves right now. It balances single issues you can enjoy with an overarching storyline through each volume. Mix in great art and you’ve got a comic you shouldn’t miss.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #14 (IDW Publishing) – A new creative team started last issue and they delivered a comic that felt a bit like a blend of old and new TMNT. With an interesting mystery revealed and possible new villain, we’re excited to see where it goes.
Transformers #28 (Skybound) – The series has been great and clearly inching closer to connecting with G.I. JOE. It’s been building up the new run nicely and we’re excited to see how all of the new elements play out.
