TV Review: The Flash S2E22 Invincible

The Flash Season 2After Zoom unleashes an army of Earth-2 meta-humans on Central City, Barry is shaken when he sees their leader is the Black Canary’s Earth-2 doppelganger, the Black Siren. Meanwhile, Wally takes to the streets to help the Flash stop the meta-humans.

The Flash has just one more episode left this season as all hell has broken loose with meta-humans running rampant all around Central City.

The opening of the series alone should keep comic fans busy for hours pouring through images to try to figure out every character on the screen. It’s a very geeky moment, and so cool to watch on television.

The episode mainly focuses on the team trying to figure out how to stop the Earth-2 bad guys and a plan is devised, a plan that feels like it’s a bit obvious to those who have watched the series. Haven’t they used this trick before?

The episode is pretty decent, though a bit shallow with how everything resolves rather easily. I think that dread that it really hasn’t is what makes things interesting, and Vibe’s visions sure seems like we’ll see something epic.

And that epic ending is partially due to how the city has set up Zoom. He truly feels evil in his actions and his willingness to kill. This is the first villain that really feels like a threat and someone who will kill to make a point.

And that ending! The episode goes out with a hell of a gut punch.
