During San Diego Comic-Con, the official Hitman comic book debuted as a free download. The comic book, written by F.J. DeSanto, acts as a prelude to the movie Hitman: Agent 47, and depicts the story of Agent 47 as he hunts down a contract, and leads directly into the opening scene of the feature film. This marks the first time the Agent 47 character will appear in a comic.

Starring Rupert Friend, Zachary Quinto and Hannah Ware, Hitman: Agent 47 follows a genetically engineered assassin (Rupert Friend) who targets a mega-corporation that wants to use the secret of his origin to create a whole army of killers.  Directed by Aleksander Bach, 20^th Century Fox will release the film in theaters on August 21, 2015.
