New comic publisher Solid Comix has teased a bit more about their debut series One Fall.
One Fall is written by David F. Walker with art by co-creator Brett Weldele and input from writer Ted Pirro. The series is a supernatural wrestling comic.
There’s a new comic publisher on the block. David F. Walker is launching his own publishing company, Solid Comix which will focus on creator-owned comic series and graphic novels.
The first release will be One Fall which debuts this spring. One Fall is written by Walker with art by co-creator Brett Weldele and input from writer Ted Pirro. Following One Fall, also to be released in 2019, will be The Hated with artist Sean Damien Hill. One Fall is a a five-issue mini-series.
This is a return to self-publishing for Walker who began his career in 1996 with a self-published ‘zine BadAzz MoFo.
Walker will still work with other publishers and has other projects coming out over the “next several years.”
Walker current writes the recently launched Naomi from DC Comics and Wonder Comics, Superb from Lion Forge and his creator-owned series Bitter Root published by Image Comics. He also teaches comic writing at Portland State with a new class beginning in Spring 2020.
