Ahead of Black Panther coming to theaters, eBay is selling a limited amount of copies of Black Panther: The Sound and the Fury #1 with an exclusive variant cover. This special-edition is predicted to sell out quickly. It’s available for pre-order at 8am PTon Tuesday 2/6, while supplies last.

The variant cover was designed in collaboration between eBay, Marvel and eBay seller Mycomicshop, and illustrated by accomplished comics illustrator Sanford Greene. The comic is being released a week prior to the Black Panther movie premiere, which has sold more advance tickets than any other Marvel movie in history.

The limited edition variant cover comic – with limited copies being sold – has a MSRP of $9.99 but will cost $5.99 with free U.S. shipping on eBay’s Daily Deals beginning Wednesday, 2/7 at 8am PT.

eBay has seen a spike in purchases on the site. Sales have more than doubled from Oct 2016-Jan 2017 to Oct 2017-Jan 2018. Black Panther sales spiked the week the first movie trailer was released: sales increased by 23% the week of October 16, 2017. Currently, there over 52,000 Black Panther available listings.
