NYCC 2019: DC Collectibles Returns With a New Line-Up of Toys and Collector Items

DC Collectibles is returning to New York Comic Con (Oct. 3-6) and will reveal an extensive slate of new statues and action figures. Big reveals include the reveal of #102 in the popular Batman: Black & White series, new character additions to the fan-favorite Batman: The Adventures Continue action figure line, and additions to expand its best-selling action figure and statue lines including DC Bombshells, DC Essentials, DC Designer Series,and more.

DC Collectibles just recently hit a major milestone with its Batman: Black & White series by announcing its 100th statue designed by Todd McFarlane and #101 by Frank Miller.  With the line gaining even more notoriety the DC Collectibles team knew they had to keep going above and beyond for the line’s fans announcing the 102nd statue in the series would be designed by non-other than the legendary Jim Lee. The all new 7” Batman statue is based on a panel in Batman: Hush, marks Lee’s fifth statue in the line.

Fans will now be able to immerse one of the most popular DC Super-Villains, The Batman Who Laughs into their Batman: The Adventures Continue collections. The Batman Who Laughs figure, designed by Ty Templeton bio by Paul Dini, combines the popular character from the Dark Nights: METAL comic and the beloved animated TV series art style.  The figure is due to hit shelves October 2020.

Harley Quinn fans rejoice as an all new Harley Quinn Red, White & Black statue designed by Steve Pugh will make its debut on the Comic Con show floor.  Based on Pugh’s art from the young adult graphic novel, Breaking Glass, features a young Harley Quinn.

Additional 2020 releases include a DC Designer Series Batman statue by Alex Ross and several new DC Essentials action figures including a number based on the popular DC Comics miniseries from 2019, DCeased, where the action figures take on the some of the post popular characters in the line and turn them into zombie-like creatures. SDCC 2019: Sideshow Partners with Comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias to Debut New Collectibles

Sideshow has revealed a brand-new collaboration with acclaimed comedian and actor Gabriel Iglesias, known on the comedy stage as Fluffy.  For the first time, fans will be able to bring home a number of unique and exciting collectibles inspired by Fluffy’s likeness and comedic legacy. 

The Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias Designer Toy, available now from Sideshow’s Unruly Industries, brings the funny to your home collection in a stylish format. This vinyl collectible captures Fluffy’s larger-than-life personality and can be displayed anywhere you need to add a little extra humor to your day. Fans will also be able to get their hands on an upcoming Gabriel Iglesias plush toy that gives the name Fluffy a whole new meaning!

NYCC 2019: Hasbro Reveals Transformers War for Cybertron: Earthrise

The siege is over, but the War for Cybertron has just begun. The Autobots and Decepticons have left Cybertron, but their battle rages on as they hurtle through space in pursuit of the Allspark. With unforeseen dangers lurking ahead and the Decepticons closing in from behind, the only way out for the Autobots is to find a way through. Both sides must navigate the perils of space and instantly adapt to battle anywhere in the cosmos. With the highly advanced A.I.R. (Adaptable Interconnection Retrofitter) Locks system, the fighters don’t head to the battlefield — they become it. Bots capable of converting into Modular Battle Stations can A.I.R.-Lock together in custom configurations to fit the needs of battle. NYCC 2018: Eaglemoss Hero Collector Reveals New Battlestar Galactica Ships

Fleeing the Cylon tyranny, Eaglemoss Hero Collector escapes to Booth #1520 at the New York Comic Con with new ships from both the classic 1978 and renowned 2004 Battlestar Galactica TV series. Developed in collaboration with members of the modern Galactica VFX team, each ship in the Battlestar Galactica: The Official Ships Collection measures between 8 and 11 inches long, is crafted from die-cast metal and high-quality ABS materials, and comes with a 16-page magazine that profiles the ship and features interviews with the show’s creators including Ronald D. Moore.

Officially authorized by Universal Studios Consumer Products Group, all four ships in the series released to date will be on display and available at special convention pricing, including:

Viper Mark II – measuring 10.6 inches in length, this versatile fighter appeared in almost every episode of the critically acclaimed 2004 Battlestar Galactica television series and features the Starbuck callsign and tail number, along with authentic wear-and-tear effects

Cylon Raider – at 9.8 inches in length, this is the primary attack fighter used by the Cylons as seen in the 2004 series

Cryptozoic and Warner Bros. Consumer Products Will Release Series 2 of DC Bombshells and Lil Bombshells at San Diego Comic-Con

Cryptozoic Entertainment and Warner Bros. Consumer Products have announced that they are launching Series 2 of both DC Bombshells and DC Lil Bombshells vinyl figures at San Diego Comic-Con, July 20-23 at the San Diego Convention Center. Fans can come to Cryptozoic’s booth (#115) for the first opportunity to buy the 7-inch and 2.75-inch Series 2 figures, which are inspired by 1940s pin-up art and focus on DC’s powerful female characters. In addition, Cryptozoic will be offering a limited number of three San Diego Comic-Con exclusive collectible figures that were first made available via online pre-order: “Golden Goddess” DC Bombshells vinyl figures, Metallic Red 25th Anniversary DC Lil Bombshells Harley Quinn vinyl figure, and DC’s The Joker Calling Card Statue – “Bloody Noir” Edition.

DC Bombshells are 7-inch vinyl figures that feature some of DC’s most popular female characters. Packaged in display-worthy window boxes, Series 2 includes Supergirl, Poison Ivy, and Batwoman. They were designed by Pedro Astudillo and sculpted by Anders Ehrenborg.

DC Lil Bombshells are smaller in scale, with each figure measuring approximately 2.75-inches tall. Series 2 presents new poses for Harley Quinn and Wonder Woman and eight characters that are new to the line: Supergirl, Batgirl, Lois Lane, Zatanna, Killer Frost, Huntress, Bumblebee, and Cheetah. There are also two rare “Noir” variants, bringing the total number of figures in the set to 12. Designed by Pedro Astudillo and sculpted by Sam Greenwell, each figure comes in Cryptozoic’s signature, collectible blind-reveal tin.

“Golden Goddess” DC Bombshells are one of three Comic-Con exclusive collectibles being offered by Cryptozoic. Inspired by Wonder Woman’s roots in Greek mythology, these variants of the Series 1 DC Bombshells figures draw from classical Greek sculpture with their gold-and-white design for all three characters: Wonder Woman, Catwoman, and Harley Quinn. Only 250 of each figure has been produced for this limited run, with each packaged in a display-worthy window box that is individually numbered. The figures were designed by Pedro Astudillo and sculpted by Anders Ehrenborg.

The second SDCC-exclusive collectible is the Metallic Red 25th Anniversary DC Lil Bombshells Harley Quinn vinyl figure. To commemorate the 25-year history of the fan-favorite femme fatale, this variant of the Series 1 DC Lil Bombshells Harley Quinn figure stylishly sports only the iconic red color associated with the character. Each figure is stamped with a “Harley Quinn 25” logo on the base and comes individually hand-numbered from 1 to 500, making it the lowest-run DC Lil Bombshells figure Cryptozoic has produced to date. The figure was designed by Pedro Astudillo and sculpted by Sam Greenwell.

The final SDCC-exclusive collectible is DC’s The Joker Calling Card Statue – “Bloody Noir Edition.” This variant of the regular DC’s The Joker Calling Card Statue, the first in Cryptozoic’s series of hand statues, is a hand-painted, 7-inch tall polyresin statue that depicts the DC Super-Villain’s iconic gloved hand splattered with blood from one of his many victims. In addition to the regular four interchangeable Joker cards, this variant comes with an exclusive Cryptozoic Promo Card. Each statue comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and is individually hand-numbered from 1 to 200, making it one of the most limited statues Cryptozoic has ever produced. It was sculpted by Mana Studios.

DC Bombshells Series 2 and DC Lil Bombshells Series 2 launch at San Diego Comic-Con for suggested retail prices of $29.99 and $9.99, respectively. All the vinyl figures in Series 2 of both collectibles lines will be available at retailers nationwide after the event. The three Comic-Con exclusives will be available in very limited quantities only at the event. The “Golden Goddess” DC Bombshells will sell for $40 apiece or $100 for all three, the Metallic Red 25th Anniversary DC Lil Bombshells Harley Quinn for $25, and DC’s The Joker Calling Card Statue – “Bloody Noir Edition” for $100.

Hasbro Reveals the Transformers x Primitive Skateboarding SDCC 2017 Convention Exclusive

Transformers has worked with Primitive Skateboarding, the company founded by legendary skateboarder Paul Rodriquez, to roll out this special edition item. The Transformers Primitive Optimus Prime figure was co-designed by Paul and features Primitive Skate’s classic black and gold colors for a more sophisticated and on-brand look.
