The Amazing Spider-Man at $58 Million So Far

After opening with a Tuesday record, The Amazing Spider-Man took a dip, earning an estimated $22.7 million on July 4th.  That brings it’s total to $58 million.  That $22.7 million was not a record though, Transformers holds that earning $29.1 million.

The movie is still on track to make somewhere between $120 million and $150 million in it’s first 6 days.  The movie is getting positive buzz with about a 75% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a score of A- with CinemaScore.

The movie cost about $220 million and has also earned $50 million overseas, from just 11 territories.
