Olmos, WWE Divas The Bella Twins, Staite Scheduled To Attend Inaugural Wizard World Albuquerque

Edward James OlmosWizard World, Inc. continues its 2015 schedule with its inaugural trip to the Albuquerque Convention Center at Wizard World Comic Con Albuquerque, June 19-21. Edward James Olmos, WWE Divas The Bella Twins and Superstar Sin Cara, Jewel Staite , Joey Lauren Adams and Lou Ferrigno headline the roster of celebrity guests scheduled to attend the pop culture extravaganza.

Olmos and Staite will appear Saturday and Sunday, June 20-21; the WWE® stars are set for Saturday only; Adams and Ferrigno are scheduled for all three days of the event.

Other celebrities currently scheduled to attend include Phil LaMarr, Robert Knepper, Milo Ventimiglia and Clifton Collins Jr.. Others will be announced as they are confirmed. Wizard World is also the home of the most creative comics artists and writers on the planet. Creators at Artist Alley at Wizard World Comic Con Albuquerque will also be added shortly.

In addition, all full-price Wizard World Comic Con Albuquerque attendees will receive a limited edition exclusive variant cover The Walking Dead comic, drawn by one of Wizard World’s talented artist guests (to be announced shortly). Comics will be issued at registration while supplies last and VIP attendees will receive an additional black & white sketch version.

Wizard World Comic Con Albuquerque show hours are Friday, June 19, 3-8 p.m.; Saturday, June 20, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Sunday, June 21, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Larroca, Adams, Zeck, Ortiz Highlight Artist Alley At Inaugural Wizard World Las Vegas

LarrocaSalvador Larroca, Neal Adams, Mike Zeck, Phil Ortiz and Michael Golden headline the roster of more than 100 comics artists and writers scheduled to attend Wizard World Comic Con Las Vegas, April 24-26 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. It is the first trip to Las Vegas for Wizard World, Inc.

Others in Artist Alley include Clay Mann, Tyler Kirkham, Renee Witterstaetter, Ethan Van Sciver, Carlo Barberi, Dean Haspiel, Arthur Suydam, Angel Unzueta, Stephen Grant, Russ Adams, Billy Martin and dozens of others.

In addition, all full-price Wizard World Comic Con Las Vegas attendees will receive a limited edition exclusive variant cover The Walking Dead #1 and VIP attendees will receive an additional black & white sketch version.

Celebrities attending include Norman Reedus, Tom Felton, David Morrissey, Tom Mison, Arthur Darvill, Robert Englund, WWE Superstar Roman Reigns, WWE Diva Paige and many others.

Gotham Star Ben McKenzie To Attend Wizard World Comic Con Philadelphia and Chicago

ben mackenzieBen McKenzie, who plays the lead character “James Gordon” in the hit Fox TV show Gotham, will make his first two Wizard World Comic Con appearances in Philadelphia (May 9-10) and Chicago (August 22-23). Also well-known for his portrayals of “Officer Ben Sherman” in NBC’s Southland and, earlier, as “Ryan Atwood” in the teen favorite The O.C. on Fox, McKenzie will greet fans will sign autographs, pose for photo ops and conduct interactive Q&A sessions at the two flagship shows on the 2015 Wizard World calendar.

McKenzie’s appearances at the two events will be the only ones in North America in which fans can get autographs and photo ops.

In Philadelphia, he will be joined by fellow Gotham star Robin Lord Taylor, along with Penn Badgley, Karl Urban, Kelly Frye and many others at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. In Rosemont, Ill., top guests currently scheduled to attend alongside McKenzie include Norman Reedus, Toby Kebbell, and The Walking Dead duo of Michael Rooker and Seth Gilliam at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.

Wizard World Comic Con Philadelphia show hours are Thursday, May 7, 3-8 p.m.; Friday, May 8, noon-7 p.m.; Saturday, May 9, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; and Sunday, May 10, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Wizard World Comic Con Chicago will be held Thursday, August 20, 3-8 p.m.; Friday, August 21, noon-7 p.m.; Saturday, August 22, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; and Sunday, August 23, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Admissions Now On Sale For First Seven Wizard World Comic Cons In 2015

arrowWizard World, Inc. today announced that VIP, three-day and single day admissions are now available for its first seven Comic Con events on the 2015 schedule, through the year’s first quarter. Fans can now purchase admissions for events beginning with Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con, January 9-11. Admissions for shows in Portland, Ore. (Jan. 23-25); Madison, Wis. (Feb. 6-8), Indianapolis (Feb. 13-15); Cleveland (Feb. 20-22); Chicago (Bruce Campbell’s Horror Fest, March 6-8); and Raleigh, N.C. (March 13-15) are also available.

Some of the celebrities scheduled for Wizard World events during that period include Stephen Amell, Evan Peters, Tyler Posey, William Shatner, WWE Divas The Bella Twins and Michael Rooker. The on-sale date for the remaining 17 events on the 2015 schedule will be released in the coming weeks.

Neal Adams’s The Walking Dead #1 Cover Debuts at Wizard World Comic Con NYC this Weekend

Eisner Award Hall of Famer Neal Adams has created the fourth in a series of exclusive Wizard World variant covers of Robert Kirkman‘s The Walking Dead #1 comic, provided for free to all full-price attendees at Wizard World Comic Con NYC Experience,. The convention runs this coming weekend, June 28-30 at Basketball City (Pier 36) in Manhattan.  Wizard World and Skybound, Kirkman’s imprint at Image Comics, have teamed to produce the line.
Adams will be on hand at Wizard World Comic Con NYC Experience to sign copies of the limited-edition comic,  produced in extremely limited quantities and available to fans only while supplies last. A different creator will draw the variant cover art for each of the remaining scheduled Wizard World shows this year.

Adams has also drawn a second, sketch Black & White cover, which will be provided to VIP guests at the event.

Independent third-party comic book grading service CGC, a leader in the industry, will accept The Walking Dead #1 variant and Signature Series submissions at its Wizard World NYC Experience exhibitor booth.

Stan Lee, The Walking Dead Stars Headline Wizard World NYC Experience June 28-30

Wizard World has announced the celebrity and superstar creator rosters for the 2013 Wizard World Comic Con NYC Experience, June 28-30 at Basketball city (Pier 36) in Manhattan.  Comics legend Stan Lee, Star Trek: The Next Generation icon Patrick Stewart and five prominent cast members of The Walking Dead, including Norman Reedus, Laurie Holden, Michael Rooker, Jon Bernthal and Chandler Riggs, “The Fonz” Henry Winkler and WWE Superstar CM Punk top the celebrity list.  Mike Deodato Jr., Carlos Pacheco, Humberto Ramos and Eisner Award Hall of Famer Neal Adams are among the most prominent creators attending.

Lee and Stewart will appear on Saturday, June 29; Punk will attend on Friday, June 28; Reedus, Bernthal and Riggs are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday; Holden and Rooker are both slated for all three days.

Other standout special guests include Hockey Hall of Famer Brian Leetch, Football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor, both appearing Saturday, and Wil Wheaton, Dean Cain, Pam Grier, Anthony Michael Hall, James Marsters, Sarah Underwood and Jason David Frank, all scheduled for the full three days.

A highlight of the event is the Wizard World Comic Con NYC Experience Celebrity Cruise on Friday from 9 p.m. – midnight (additional ticket required).  Reedus, Rooker and Bernthal are scheduled to be aboard as the ship sails from Basketball City up past the Freedom Tower.  All attendees must be 21 years of age, and DJ, buffet menu and two free drinks are included, and a ticket to any day of the event is required in order to purchase tickets for the cruise.

The Artist Alley at Wizard World Comic Con NYC Experience will also feature Mike Zeck, Jim Cheung, Stan Goldberg, “Zombie King” Arthur Suydam, Michael Golden, Rick Buckler and J.G. Jones.

Additionally, all full price attendees will receive a free copy of the Exclusive Variant Cover of The Walking Dead #1 comic, available only at Comic Con Wizard World NYC Experience.

Role Playing, Podcaster, Sci Fi, Superhero, Re-Creation Organizations Enhance Experience At Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, August 9-12

NEW YORK and ROSEMONT, Ill., July 31, 2012 – Bringing their favorite cult movies and TV shows, comics, charities and other interests to life, fan groups will again be on hand at Wizard World Chicago Comic Con.  Organizations supporting Star Wars, Ghostbusters, “Star Trek,” and Jurassic Park are among those who will roam the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center floor, August 9-12, many in elaborate costumes – and all making the day just a little more fun for attendees.

Fan groups scheduled to attend Wizard World Chicago Comic Con include:

  • 501st Midwest Garrison, the Illinois chapter of The 501st Legion, a Star Wars Imperial costuming club. The 501st is dedicated to the movie-quality costumes of the “villains” of the Star Wars universe.
  • Comics4kids, literacy champions who collect, receive, purchase, and inherit comic books and then give them away to children for free in hopes of improving literacy and encouraging imagination, as well as promoting the comic book collecting medium as a hobby.
  • Cosplay Chicago, giving, a place to meet, talk and share everything and anything in the world of cosplay. It is set up for all of those that share the addiction of cosplay.
  • D20 Girls, who try to promote a very positive image of female gamers.  They break down stereotypes, aren’t barbie dolls, don’t come in one size, and don’t come in one shape… They are Gamers, and, yes, Girls Game Too!
  • DVM Podcast Empire, which presents some of the funniest and most entertaining fan podcasts about TV favorites from epic sci-fi like “Doctor Who,” “Torchwood” and “The Event” to high concept drama like “Lost,” “FlashForward” and “Person Of Interest.”
  • Ghostbusters: Chicago Division, the Chicago “franchise office” in support of the popular cult movie favorite, hoping to keep the Windy City clean for years to come.
  • Gothams Finest, a group of like-minded individuals who enjoy costuming as members of the DC universe. Everyone had the action figure, watched the movie, and read the comics. No one has ever owned costumes like these.
  • Heroes Fallen Studios, a non-profit 501c-3 veteran based organization that supports our troops by telling their real-life stories based on their service in Iraq and Afghanistan.
  • Jurassic Park Legacy, the prime information source of Jurassic Park Universe knowledge, with its ever-popular, and all-inclusive “Jurassic Park Encyclopedia,” sprouting many of the efforts put forth into “costuming” research and the like for the community.
  • Mario Godiva Fitness, a fitness expert, celebrity trainer, and master trainer/international presenter for Kangoo Jumps who started in the fitness industry at 18 and has over 12 years of experience. He teaches group fitness classes, privately trains, travels and teaches master classes and holds trainings.
  • Musical of the Living Dead, an original musical parody of classic zombie films and musical theatre. Featuring music inspired by everything from Gershwin to Green Day, the show follows the lives of 10 very different people trapped in a farmhouse seeking refuge from the horde of brain-eating (and dancing) zombies outside.
  • The Nerdologues, a sketch comedy show created by a group of comedians that have trained and performed at iO and Second City. The Nerdologues explores nerd and pop culture through hilarious sketches, and allows the performers an outlet for soul touching monologues about growing up nerdy.
  • Sugar Gamers, a female-oriented organization local to Chicago with a focus on bringing women together who enjoy video gaming, also welcoming comic book fans, cosplayersand others. The Sugar Gamer community hosts one of a kind events geared towards the interests of its members, and makes a point to be present for all the Chicago cons.
  • USS Chicago, a chapter of STARFLEET, The International Star Trek Fan Association, Inc. and is based in Homewood, Ill., a south suburb of Chicago.  The USS Chicago also enjoys a charter with The Empire, a Klingon themed club where members can explore Klingon fandom and culture.
  • WGTR “World Grand Theft Radio,” a multi media company with its own radio station “now nine years strong” and TV station, comic/graphic arts studio and live broadcasting from events all over the USA. With over 30 original shows a week live, “our mission to make your on air dreams come true!”

Dozens Of Celebrities Scheduled For Next Weekend’s Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con

Bruce Campbell, Adam Baldwin, Bill Goldberg, Pam Grier, Vivica A. Fox, Julie Benz, Billy Dee Williams, Adam West Among Headliners June 17-18-19 At Pennsylvania Convention Center

NEW YORK and PHILADELPHIA, June 8, 2011 – More than 50 celebrities, representing many of the most iconic and popular movies, television programs and entertainment outlets, are scheduled to attend next weekend’s Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con, June 17-19 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.  Among the leading stars to appear are Bruce Campbell, Adam Baldwin, Bill Goldberg, Pam Grier, Vivica A. Fox, Julie Benz and Billy Dee Williams.

Some of the most prominent franchises in movie and television history are well-represented among the wide variety of guests, including STAR WARS, SUPERMAN, SAW, “Batman,” “Desperate Housewives,” TERMINATOR, “The Incredible Hulk,” “Spider-Man,” “Buffy: The Vampire Slayer,” “The Walking Dead,” “Battlestar Galactica,” “Baywatch” and “Jackass.”

Campbell (“Burn Notice,” ARMY OF DARKNESS) was a huge hit at last year’s event, and will be appearing only on Saturday, June 18.  Grier (“Smallville,” “The L Word”), Fox (KILL BILL VOL. 1 and VOL. 2, “Curb Your Enthusiasm”), Benz (“Buffy: The Vampire Slayer,” “Desperate Housewives”), and Williams (STAR WARS: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, BATMAN) have also been popular guests at Wizard World events.  Baldwin (FULL METAL JACKET, SERENITY) and Goldberg (WWE wrestler, THE LONGEST YARD) will be making their first appearances.

Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con will bring together thousands of fans of all ages and dozens of celebrities and industry professionals to celebrate the best in pop culture, movies, comics, toys, video gaming, television, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more.

Children and adult attendees are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite villain, superhero or pop culture personality for the chance to win special prizes in costume contests.  Event-goers may also try their hand interactive product exhibits and shop for collectible comics, movie and television memorabilia, toys and games at more than 200 dealer booths.

Philadelphia Comic Con is the sixth stop on Wizard World’s 2011 North American tour.  Hours are Friday, June 17, noon – 8 p.m., Saturday, June 18, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Sunday, June 19, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.  Tickets are available in advance online at http://www.wizardworld.com/philadelphia.html at a savings over tickets purchased at the door.  Advance adult single-day tickets are priced at $25 ($35 on site); three-day weekend tickets are $45 ($55 on site), and tickets are free for children age 10 and under when accompanied by a paid adult (limit two children per adult).  VIP packages with special entry and exclusive items are also available on a limited basis.
