The direct tie-in to the My Chemical Romance album Danger Days is being collected as an over-sized hardcover in The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys: California Library Edition! Written by Gerard Way and Shaun Simon, illustrated by Becky Cloonan, colored by Dan Jackson, and lettered by Nate PiekosThe True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys: California Library Edition will feature an all new cover by Becky Cloonan.

This new The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys: California Library Edition collects the 2014 series The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys: California and the short story “Dead Satellites,”along with an expanded sketchbook section.

Dark Horse Comics has revealed the first Umbrella Academy spin-off series: You Look Like Death! Written by series co-creator Gerard Way with Shaun Simon, illustrated by I.N.J. Culbard, lettered by Nate Piekos, You Look Like Death explores the trials and tribulations of a young Séance as he navigates the world by himself. 

Roughly ten years before the events of Apocalypse Suite, 18-year-old Séance gets himself kicked out of the Umbrella Academy. With his allowance discontinued by Hargreeves, he takes to a place where his ghoulish talents will be appreciated––Hollywood. After a magical high on a vampire-drug-lord’s stash, Klaus needs help, and doesn’t have his siblings there to save him.

You Look Like Death #1 (of six) goes on sale June 17, 2020. Each issue features covers by Gabriel Bá, I.N.J. Culbard, and a third cover by guest artists including Leo Romero, Jenny Frison, and more.

DC’s Young Animal Returns with More Doom Patrol, New Series Collapser, and a Green Lantern!?

DC’s Young Animal is returning this July with the next chapter of its flagship title, plus two new, innovative stories. The pop-up imprint curated by My Chemical Romance front man Gerard Way will kick things off on July 3 with Doom Patrol: Weight of the Worlds, followed by Collapser on July 17, and Far Sector in late 2019.

With these new series come new creative teams, with Mikey Way (MCR), Shaun Simon (Neverboy, Killjoys) and acclaimed artist Ilias Kyriazis (G.I. Joe: First Strike) introducing Collapser, and author N.K. Jemisin (The Broken EarthInheritance trilogies) making her comic book writing debut with Far Sector, a new and original Green Lantern story, alongside Jamal Campbell, artist of the breakout hit series, Naomi.
