Batman vs. Snake-Eyes!? Get a Look at Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point #3 Coming in May

With no memory and battling strange adversaries (and even some allies) on a mysterious island for 22 minutes at a time, you’d think Batman has enough to worry about in Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point.

Think again.

In issue #3 of this six-issue limited series from DC and Epic Games, the Dark Knight faces off against the most unexpected adversary yet, Snake-Eyes, from G.I. Joe!

You read that right: Snake-Eyes from G.I. Joe! Worlds collide on the Island as the unstoppable ninja goes up against Batman! But can either of them win the fight when neither of them can remember why they’re fighting, nor escape this twisted version of Groundhog’s Day? Will Batman even remember that he’s got to find a way back to Catwoman, all the while trying to figure out how to get back to Gotham City? And just what is Harley Quinn doing here?

Based on a story concept by series consultant and Chief Creative Officer of Epic Games, Donald Mustard, this six-issue limited series is written by Christos Gage, featuring pencils by Reilly Brown, with inks by Nelson Faro DeCastro and colors by John Kalisz. The main cover for issue #3 is by Mikel Janín, with a card stock variant cover by DC Publisher and Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee and Scott Williams, plus a premium variant cover by Mustard (check your local comic book store for availability).

Each 32-page issue is priced at $4.99, with the card stock variant priced at $5.99. Each print issue of Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point also includes a redeemable code for a bonus digital cosmetic in Fortnite inspired by the events in the comic; Issue #3 includes a code for the Catwoman’s Claw Pickaxe in-game item. As a bonus item, fans who redeem all six codes will unlock a new Armored Batman Zero Outfit.

U.S. subscribers to the DC Universe Infinite digital service will receive the series and bonus codes included as part of their subscription.

DC Announces DC Pride Anthology and Crush & Lobo

DC has announced new releases coming to store shelves in June. DC Pride is an 80-page anthology comic featuring LGBTQIA+ characters from across the DC Universe. Crush & Lobo is a new eight-issue miniseries written by Mariko Tamaki with art by Amancay Nahuelpan. Crush & Lobo will launch on June 1 and DC Pride will publish on June 8. DC will also publish a series of nine Pride-themed variant covers in June, showcasing DC’s top characters as realized by the comic book industry’s leading artists.

DC Pride #1 will feature LGBTQIA+ characters from all corners of DC’s ever-expanding Universe, including cameos by fan favorites Batwoman, Renee Montoya, Alan Scott, Midnighter, Apollo, Extraño, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Constantine, and more. The DCPride creative teams, and the characters they’re developing stories for, are:

Rounding out the DC Pride anthology is a forward by Marc Andreyko (Love is Love), single-page pin-ups by artists Kris Anka, Sophie Campbell, Mildred Louis, Travis Moore, Nick Robles, and Kevin Wada, with more surprises to come! The DC Pride #1 cover is by Jim Lee, Scott Williams, and Tamra Bonvillain.

After lots of anticipation, DC has announced that Batman/Catwoman #1 arrives December 1 from Tom King, Clay Mann, Tomeu Morey, and Clayton Cowles.

The series is told across three separate timelines and continues King’s story from his run on Batman.

Gotham City. Today. Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle have rekindled their long-running, on-again, off-again relationship. Believing all obstacles are removed from their path, they once again begin operating as a duo in their secret lives: Batman and Catwoman working together to fight crime.

There’s the past, when The Bat and The Cat first fell in love. Did they meet on the street? Or was it on a boat? Rooftops, ramparts and gargoyles, and over 80 years of fans that have read their comics, are their only witnesses.

There’s the distant future, where after a long and happy marriage Bruce Wayne has passed away. Selina Kyle decides to settle an old score without having to worry about the Batman objecting. Catwoman is serving a very cold dish: Revenge.

The series is also the hotly wanted debut of Andrea Beaumont, a.k.a. Phantasm to the DC Universe. Beaumont’s return questions how each character operates in their costume and personal lives and threatens Bruce and Selina’s future.

But what about the Joker? He robber Batman and Catwoman of their wedding. Any change in the Dark Night’s life will be result in more chaos from the Clown Prince of Crime.

Batman/Catwoman, by Tom King, Clay Mann, Tomeu Morey, and Clayton Cowles, edited by Jamie S. Rich and Brittany Holzherr, will launch a 12-issue run on December 1, 2020, with a cover by Mann and Morey and a variant cover by Jim Lee, Scott Williams, and Alex Sinclair with a main cover by Travis Charest. New issues will ship monthly with a skip month planned for a Batman/Catwoman Special in June 2021, and the series will carry DC’s Black Label content descriptor, indicating content appropriate for readers ages 17+.

Justice League’s “Doom Metal” Crossover Begins September 15!

DC has revealed November’s Justice League covers, giving more insight into Joshua Williamson’s upcoming five-issue Justice League “Doom Metal” story that ties directly in to DC’s ongoing Dark Nights: Death Metal event! Beginning in Justice League #53 on September 15, “Doom Metal” will feature the first appearance of Mindhunter, a new, twisted Dark Knight who is combined with Martian Manhunter, the first appearance of Omega Knight—a Frankenstein’s Monster version of the Omega Titans from Justice League: No Justice, the longtime-coming reunion of the Teen Titans: Nightwing, Cyborg, and Starfire, and more!

Nightwing has his memory back, and Cyborg and Starfire are back from the Ghost Sector, so look for deep cuts from the team’s past as they rally this Justice League towards Perpetua and the Legion of Doom!

DC Expands Its Digital Firsts and Launches DC Essential Reads

DC is expanding its digital releases with DC’s Digital First publishing program, home of bestselling titles Injustice: Gods Among Us, DC Comics: Bombshells, the new Batman: The Adventures Continue, and many more fan-favorite comics. Under the robust new program, comic book readers will have more variety of content and immediate access to stories that have never been available on digital platforms.
