Listen to Graphic Policy Radio with guest Bryan Edward Hill on Demand

This Monday was a brand new episode of Graphic Policy Radio and we welcomed our first time guest Bryan Edward Hill to the show!

Bryan is a writer for both comics and films. He currently writes Postal for Image Comics/Top Cow Productions as well as the upcoming Romulus. He was also recently brought on board as the story editor for Top Cow.

Ron and Brett chat about the hit AMC television series going over each brand new episode with a fine tooth comb and what it all means for The Walking Dead universe. We’ll be chatting each Sunday at 10pm ET right after the episode ends.

Graphic Policy Radio LIVE This Monday

GP Radio pic MondayThis Monday is a brand new episode of Graphic Policy Radio the show that mixes comic and politics. It’s a potluck Monday, and we’ll be discussing a wide ranging amount of news and reviews in the comic industry. The show airs LIVE this Monday at 10pm ET.

Graphic Policy Radio with Guest Jeremy Whitley this Wednesday

Join is for a brand new episode of Graphic Policy Radio with returning guest Jeremy Whitley. Jeremy has two comics releasing this week, his creator owned series from Action Lab Entertainment Princeless: Raven, The Pirate Princess #2 and Secret Wars: Secret Love #1 from Marvel. We’ll discuss those two releases and so much more! The show airs LIVE this Wednesday at 10pm ET.

Jeremy Whitley is the creator of the original comic series Princeless, Illegal, and The Order of Dagonet. His work has been nominated for two Eisner Awards, Five Glyph Awards, and numerous other honors. In addition to his original creations, he has also been a regular writer for IDW’s My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and My Little Pony: Friends Forever series as well as Action Lab’s NFL Rush Zone and GlobWorld comic series.

Jeremy has been at the forefront of changing trends in the comic industry, and a leader for diversity in both creators and characters.

Listen to Graphic Policy Radio With Guest Steve Orlando on Demand

This Thursday was a special episode of Graphic Policy Radio with writer Steve Orlando. Steve returned to the show to discuss his new series from Image Comics,Virgil!

Undertow and Midnighter writer Steve Orlando and Murder Book artist JD Faith present a brand new, “queersploitation” graphic novel on the streets of Jamaica in,Virgil, in stores this September 2015.

Betrayed, beaten, and banished by his own, an outed cop fights his way across Jamaica for revenge.

This is a Foxy Brown-style revenge action with a new face and new fists. Holding his gun and his badge, Virgil thought he was safe in the police force, hiding who he is. But when his own brothers on the force out him in the papers, it doesn’t bring him down. It sets him free! Now, he’s out for revenge. And he’s not leaving town without his man, and some blood on his hands.

We talked to Steve about the upcoming book as well as the Kickstarter that it spun out from, queer theory, and even some classic movies.

This past Monday was a brand new episode of Graphic Policy Radio with first time guest Genevieve Valentine.

Genevieve Valentine is a science fiction and fantasy writer. In 2014 she took over as the writer for DC Comics’ Catwoman, sending Selina Kyle in a whole new direction as a key player in Gotham’s mob family. The latest issue hits shelves this week. Her first novel, Mechanique: A tale of the Circus Tresaulti, won the Crawford Award for a first fantasy novel, and was shortlisted for the Nebula.

Joining us in welcoming Genevieve to the show is frequent guest and cohost Emma Houxbois. Emma is the Comics Editor for The Rainbow Hub and co-host of weekly comics podcast Fantheon!

Currently he’s running a Kickstarter to collecting some of the best political cartoons, comics journalism, non-fiction and humor.

Eat More Comics packs more than 300 pages featuring dozens of the best cartoonists to ever toon a toon. I mean, it’s going to be a large book.

We talked to him about the Kickstarter, The Nib, and more!

This past Monday night Graphic Policy Radio, the show that mixes comics and politics, returned with a first time special guest! Brandon Graham dialed in to discuss his comic career and some of his latest releases!

Graham has worked with everyone from Antarctic Press, Oni Press, NBM Publishing, to Dark Horse Comics, Image Comics, and more! Recently, Graham has had two impressive releases, both through Image. 8House: Arclight debuted July 1 and is a fantasy world featuring sharp genderqueer knights, blood magic, music, dancing, and a goose. Island debuted July 15, and is a new ongoing comics magazine featuring the talents of Graham, Emma Ríos, and more.

We discuss both series and a whole lot more during the show.

There was some audio issues, but things smooth out at about the 40 minute mark.
