Peripheral is the Dual Film and Graphic Novel from writer Dan Schaffer

Writer Dan Schaffer wrote Peripheral as both a screenplay and graphic novel script with each going into production at the same time. The film is now out in the US and UK, and the graphic novel is coming soon from 1First Comics.

Peripheral is directed by Paul Hyett, written by Schaffer, and features Hannah Arterton, Tom Conti, Elliot James Langridge, Rosie Day, and Jenny Seagrove.

Bobbi Johnson (Hannah Arterton), a young literary sensation, is struggling with her difficult second novel. While dealing with a crazed stalker and a junkie ex-boyfriend, Bobbi’s publisher convinces her to use new smart editing software. But soon the A.I. programme starts manipulating her work to suit its nefarious ends leaving Bobbi to suspect she’s being controlled by sinister forces. Fighting possible hallucinations as her deadline looms, is she just a hapless cog in a monstrous machine?

You can catch Peripheral now on Amazon in the US, and it also has been digitally released in the UK courtesy of Blue Finch Films. The sinister and unsettling sci-fi horror fantasy will be available on iTunes, Amazon, Google, Sky, and Virgin.
