Celebrate Scrooge McDuck’s first-ever Marvel adventure with Uncle Scrooge and the Infinity Dime #1 variant covers

This June, Disney comic book icon Uncle Scrooge headlines his first-ever Marvel book in Uncle Scrooge and the Infinity Dime #1. Written by Jason Aaron and drawn by an incredible lineup of celebrate Disney comic book artists like Paolo Mottura, Francesco D’Ippolito, Vitale Mangiatordi, and more, this one-shot blends the world of Uncle Scrooge with the hallmarks of Marvel Comics storytelling.

In addition to covers by Alex Ross and Lorenzo Pastrovicchio, Uncle Scrooge and the Infinity Dime will have a fortunes-worth of variant covers by artists including Peach Momoko, John Romita Jr., J. Scott Campbell, Walter Simonson, Ron Lim, Elizabeth Torque, and Gabriele Dell’Otto. And like all of Marvel’s major launches, Uncle Scrooge and the Infinity Dime #1 will shine as brightly as Scrooge’s treasure vault with a special FOIL VARIANT COVER by superstar artist Steve McNiven.

Announced last month, Uncle Scrooge and the Infinity Dime #1 will see Scrooge embark on a time-honored Marvel adventure as he explores the Multiverse to stop a twisted alternate Scrooge from becoming the all-powerful and incomprehensibly rich Scrooge-Above-All! Along the way, the story will introduce exciting new takes on the iconic tycoon with a heart of gold and feature appearances by Scrooge’s nephew, Donald Duck; grandnephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie; and his supporting cast of characters, including Gyro Gearloose!

Scrooges’ unique legacy in the industry—as well as the types of exploits he’s famous for—make him the perfect candidate to headline Marvel Comics’ first foray into the imagination of Disney’s comic books. This June, one of fiction’s most legendary adventurers stars in his first-ever Marvel comic book: Uncle $crooge and the Infinity Dime #1! 

Announced at the ComicsPRO Comic Industry Conference, Uncle $crooge and the Infinity Dime #1 represents an unheralded Marvel and Disney collaboration. The extraordinary one-shot will be written by Jason Aaron. Aaron will team up with a cadre of celebrated Scrooge artists, Paolo Mottura, Francesco D’Ippolito, Vitale Mangiatordi, and more to masterfully blend the beloved world of Uncle Scrooge with the hallmarks of Marvel Comics storytelling.

Marvel will help celebrate 100 years of Disney with variant covers

Across The Walt Disney Company next year, Disney 100 Years of Wonder will honor and showcase the rich legacy of storytelling and immersive experiences that have been a hallmark of Disney since its founding on October 16, 1923. Disney’s 100th anniversary will be celebrated around the globe, and Marvel will be marking the occasion with a special monthly Disney100 Variant Cover Program featuring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, and more.

The variant program in honor of Disney100 will celebrate Marvel’s past, present, and future through the classic “What If” lens with a fantastic reimagining of Marvel’s most classic comic book covers. These first-of-its-kind art pieces will see Disney’s iconic characters immersed in the magic of Marvel storytelling as they pay homage to legendary moments in the Marvel Comics mythos, including Captain America assembling Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in Avengers #4, as well as the groundbreaking debut issues of Fantastic Four and Incredible Hulk.

With 12 covers in total, fans can look forward to a new Disney100 variant cover (also available in Black and White versions) hitting stands each month of 2023 at local comic book shops. The variant covers will be found on select upcoming issues of Amazing Spider-Man starting with Amazing Spider-Man #17 on January 11.

Yen Press and JY to Release Two New Disney Titles Kingdom Hearts III and Wizards of Mickey

Yen Press and JY announced the acquisition of two series featuring iconic Disney characters – Kingdom Hearts III (manga) and Wizards of Mickey. Kingdom Hearts III (manga) will be published under the Yen Press imprint and Wizards of Mickey will be published under JY, the Yen Press imprint for middle-grade readers.
