Eaglemoss Hero Collector Launches a Comprehensive Encyclopedia of Star Trek Ships

In a move sure to be hailed by Star Trek fans of every generation, Eaglemoss Hero Collector has announced the publication of the first volume in the new Star Trek Shipyards series, the definitive visual encyclopedia to each and every ship that’s ever appeared in any corner of the storied Star Trek universe, either on television or in theaters.

Officially Authorized by CBS Studios and written by Ben Robinson, Marcus Riley and Matt McAllister, Star Trek Shipyards: Starfleet Ships 2151-2293 is a comprehensive 184 page hardcover chronological history and visual guide featuring in-depth profiles of Starfleet ships from the birth of the Federation to the launch of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-B and the presumed death of Captain James T. Kirk.  It also includes a chapter on Earth’s pre-Federation vessels, including Zefram Cochrane’s Phoenix, which made mankind’s first faster-than-light journey.

Lavishly illustrated with CG artwork using original VFX models created for the Star Trek TV shows and films, this volume also provides fans with what will be for most of them the first opportunity to see all the starships from Star Trek: Discovery in close detail, even the ones that were barely visible in the climactic battle sequence from the series’ second episode, “Battle at the Binary Stars.”

Star Trek Shipyards: Starfleet Ships 2151-2293 is also available in a deluxe window-boxed edition that includes a die-cast collector’s model of the U.S.S. Enterprise NC-1701 from the classic 1966 original Star Trek television series along with a display base.

Like all Eaglemoss Hero Collector books, Star Trek Shipyards: Starfleet Ships 2151-2293 (ISBN: 978-1-85875-522-9) may be purchased from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, Indigo, independent booksellers, and select specialty stores including comic shops and gaming stores. It is priced at $29.95 in the US and $39.95 in Canada. The boxed gift set (978-1-85875-521-2) is priced at $49.95 in the US and $65.95 in Canada.

The second volume in the series, Star Trek Shipyards: Starfleet Ships 2294 to the Future, is scheduled for publication on November 13, 2018.  Both volumes are part of Eaglemoss Hero Collector’s “Premier Editions,” exquisitely designed, painstakingly researched visual guides and books that delve deep behind the scenes of some of most beloved icons of comic and sci-fi fandom.

NYCC 2018: Eaglemoss Hero Collector Reveals New Battlestar Galactica Ships

Fleeing the Cylon tyranny, Eaglemoss Hero Collector escapes to Booth #1520 at the New York Comic Con with new ships from both the classic 1978 and renowned 2004 Battlestar Galactica TV series. Moore.

Cylon Raider – at 9.8 inches in length, this is the primary attack fighter used by the Cylons as seen in the 2004 series

Glenn NCC-1030 variant from the Star Trek: Discovery Official Starships Collection. The sister ship to the Crossfield-class U.S.S. Discovery NCC-1031, the Glenn was destroyed by Captain Lorca early in the
series after a disastrous test of the experimental spore drive.

Like all ships in the collection, this larger scale model is made of die-cast metal and ABS materials, then hand painted with reference to the actual CG models used in production. Strictly limited to only 500 ships worldwide, each comes with a collector’s magazine, display stand and numbered certificate of authenticity.

Two additional and soon-to-be released ships from the collection will also be on display – the U.S.S. Europa NCC-1648 and one of the few Vulcan designs seen in the series so far, the Vulcan Cruiser.

Eaglemoss’ popular line of Star Trek Starships XL Editions continues to grow and fans at the event will be among the first to get their hands on the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-A and the U.S.S. Defiant NX74205, Starfleet’s first true warship. On display, but not yet available for purchase, will be the next pair of XL Editions due to be released in Q4 of 2018 – the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-B, as seen in Star
Trek: Generations, and the Miranda-class U.S.S. Reliant.

Visitors will also get a first look at two new Bonus ships from the original Star Trek: The Official Starships Collection – Rick Sternbach’s U.S.S. Voyager Concept (the original, but unused design of the ship) and the Klingon Bird-of-Prey (Landing Position).

Rounding out Eaglemoss’ Star Trek presence in Las Vegas will be the all-new line of Official Star Trek Collector’s Busts. This eagerly anticipated collection features the iconic captains of Starfleet and other memorable characters from over 50 years of Star Trek TV and movie history, capturing them in impressive detail with highly accurate likenesses, uniforms and props. These hand-painted polyresin busts are 4.5 to 6” tall, come complete with a fact-filled magazine, and form an essential addition to any Star Trek collection. On display in Las Vegas will be four fan favorites – Captain James T. Kirk, Science Officer Spock, Lt. Commander Worf, and Lt. Commander Data.

If you’re a serious collector, Eaglemoss is offering extra incentive to sign up for one or more of their popular Star Trek subscription programs, regardless of whether or not you’re at the show. Fans who subscribe online to the Star Trek: Discovery Official Starships Collection during the convention will receive their first ship, the U.S.S. Star Trek’s First “A” Ship Joins XL Editions

It was only in service to Starfleet for seven years – but what monumental years those were.  It only makes sense, then, for Eaglemoss Collections to induct the fabled U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-A into its collection of monumentally sized XL Editions, available by subscription to the Official Star Trek Starships XL Editions, as well as from the Eaglemoss Shop and local comic shops.

Fans know that this is the Enterprise designed and engineered to replace the refitted Enterprise NCC-1701 destroyed at the climax of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock.  This is the Enterprise the command of which was offered to Admiral James T. Kirk for a job well down at the conclusion of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (the fact that this meant Kirk would be reduced in rank back to Captain could not have pleased him – or his crew – more).

This is also the Enterprise commandeered by the Vulcan Sybok and his followers in a quest that took the entire crew beyond the Great Barrier in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.  And this is the Enterprise sent to escort Chancellor Gorkon of the Klingon Empire to the peace talks at Khitomer – only to be caught in a web of deception spun by the Klingon General Chang and several rogue Starfleet officers in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.

As significant as the Enterprise-A is to the history of Starfleet and the 23rd Century, it should also be noted that this is the first ship in Star Trek production history to carry the “A” designation, enabling the Enterprise name to be retained, reimagined and re-engineered first as the 24th Century’s Enterprise-D in Star Trek: The Next Generation, then as the Enterprise-B and Enterprise-C in stories that filled in the timeline, and then, later on, as the Enterprise-E and Enterprise-J.  So much for the notion of naming this new ship anything other than Enterprise!

Officially authorized by CBS Studios, Eaglemoss’ XL Edition of the U.S.S. Enterprise NC-1701-A is a precision die-cast model featuring high-quality ABS materials and reproduced under the supervision of Star Trek expert Ben Robinson.  At approximately 10.6 inches in length, it has been hand-painted to capture the finest detail and comes with a display stand as well as an exclusive collector’s magazine that provides an in-depth profile of the ship, with detailed annotations and a breakdown of on-board technology, crew and weaponry.

New subscribers to the Official Star Trek Starships XL Editions will receive the Enterprise-A as the first ship for the subscriber’s only price of $59.95 with free shipping. Subsequent ships in the collection, which includes the original U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, Star Trek: The Next Generation’s U.S.S. Enterprise 1701-D and the U.S.S. Voyager NCC-74656, will arrive every other month for the same price and with free shipping.  Subscribers are also eligible to receive exclusive free gifts worth over $70 and may cancel their subscription at any time.

Not ready to subscribe? For a few dollars more, the XL Editions may also be purchased directly from the Eaglemoss Shop or at your favorite comic shop – as long as supplies last.

Now that’s some Grade A Star Trek excitement!

They Boldly Went Where No Woman Had Gone Before. Eaglemoss Celebrates the First Women in Space!

One was a Soviet cosmonaut, selected from among more than 400 applicants to soar into space on the Vostok 6 mission on June 16, 1963. Twenty years and two days later – on June 18, 1983 – an American astronaut rose to similar heights of fame aboard the space shuttle Challenger. They were, respectively, Valentina Tereshkova and Sally Ride. The course they charted for women — in their own countries and around the world — continues to resonate throughout the cosmos.

Eaglemoss Collections, creators of Star Trek themed collectibles produced under license from CBS Studios, is proud to salute these true pioneers on the 55th and 35th anniversaries of their respective historic launches into space with special 15% savings on stunningly detailed, die-cast models available online at the Eaglemoss Shop.

Here are five of the most significant Federation starships that, according to Star Trek canon, flew under the leadership of female Starfleet captains and commanders.

U.S.S. Voyager NCC-74656 (Star Trek: Voyager)

Captain Kathryn Janeway

U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-C (Star Trek: The Next Generation)

Eaglemoss Offers a 9-Ship Salute to the 25th Anniversary of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

It’s been a quarter century since the debut of the first Star Trek series not set on board a ship called Enterprise and Eaglemoss Collections is giving fans an opportunity to celebrate. Here are nine classic starships that put into port across seven seasons of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Each is available to own as an incredibly detailed die-cast replica, official authorized by CBS Studios, and at special 25th anniversary savings – either as part of a subscription to the Official Star Trek Starships Collection or as individual purchases from the Eaglemoss Shop or favorite comic shop.

1: Danube Class Runabout

A vital part of operations for the Deep Space Nine crew, able to serve on a variety of different mission types. The ships in this class were named for famous rivers on Earth, including the U.S.S. Rio Grande, the U.S.S. Yangtzee and the U.S.S. Orinoco.

2: Bajoran Solar-Sail Vessel

A relic from the distant past of Bajoran space exploration. Legend had it that it made it all the way to Cardassia itself almost 800 years prior. Benjamin Sisko recreated this ship from ancient plans to see if the legend was true.

3: Cardassian Galor Class

The most-common warships in the Cardassian fleet, they featured heavily in DS9 during the Dominion War. Fighting alongside Dominion ships, they inflicted heavy damage to the combined Federation and Klingon fleets.

4: Akira Class

Built for action, it played a major role in winning back Deep Space Nine for the Federation. Designed to confront threats encroaching on Starfleet’s borders in space, the ship’s layout presented a narrow target, and its saucer section functioned not unlike an aircraft carrier.

5: U.S.S. Defiant

Originally built to defend against a Borg invasion, this relatively small class prototype was the Federation’s very first true warship.  At just 4 decks and a crew of about 40, it nevertheless proved itself as one of the most-powerful and consistent players in the Dominion War’s hard-fought battles.

6: Jem’Hadar Fighter

Commonly used by the Dominion at the front lines of battle, this beetle-shaped attack ship was typically deployed in groups of three. Late in the Dominion War, it was outfitted with an energy-dampening weapon that proved devastating to Federation forces and their allies until countermeasures were eventually developed.

7: Bajoran Raider

Made from spare parts and whatever Bajoran Resistance engineers could scrounge together, this ship was a true underdog, not even capable of impulse speeds in space, let alone warp. But within a planet’s atmosphere, this strike fighter bared its teeth, often attacking in groups, and proving itself faster and more maneuverable than ships that otherwise outclassed it.

8: Romulan Shuttle

In many ways a comparable ship class to the Federation Danube Class Runabout, but with a very distinctive Romulan design and features. It also had a cloaking device that rendered the ship invisible to sensors as well as the naked eye.

9: Klingon Vor’cha Class

This battlecruiser featured heavily in all the defining battles of the Dominion War and was the flagship of choice for General Martok, as well as Chancellors Gowron and K’mpec. Instantly recognizable as a Klingon vessel, years of peace and sharing of technology with the Federation influenced aspects of its design.

The ships of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine forever changed the landscape of Star Trek lore. To commemorate this critically important turning point in Star Trek history, Eaglemoss Collections is making some history of its own. New subscribers to the Official Star Trek Starships Collection will not only get their first ship  – TNG’s U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D – for only $4.95, but also receive the U.S.S. Defiant NX-74205 for half price – both with free shipping (use the code DS9 at checkout) Plus, every subscription includes a selection of free gifts valued at over $90 and additional savings of up to 20% off each ship in the collection.

Non-subscribers can drop by the Eaglemoss Shop to enjoy 10% off the purchase of any or all DS9 ships, including our Deep Space Nine 25th Anniversary Bundle, which includes a special edition Deep Space Nine space station and two ships from Season 2. Or look for them at your local comic shop.

Eaglemoss Collections Gives a First Look at the Ships of Star Trek: Discovery

Hot on the heels of the return of the hit series Star Trek: Discovery to CBS All Access, Eaglemoss Collections is proud to offer fans a chance to check out the all-new ship designs joining the U.S.S. Shenzhou NCC-1227 and U.S.S. Discovery NCC-1031 in the Official Star Trek: Discovery Starships Collection.

Currently on display, renderings of the 12 ships that make up the first wave of models in the collection are each based on the original VFX models created for the show. They include 7 Federation ships (including the U.S.S. Kerala NCC-1255, U.S.S. Yeager NCC-1437 and U.S.S. Europa NCC-1648) and 5 Klingon vessels (including the reimagined Klingon Bird-of-Prey and Qugh Class Destroyer).
