Corvus Belli’s World of Infinity Comes to Comics with Infinity: Betrayal from Victor Santos and Agustin Graham Nakamura

Infinity: Betrayal

Corvus Belli has debuted Infinity: Betrayal, a new graphic novel set in the Infinity Universe. This is its second science fiction novel after the success of Infinity: Outrage, created in collaboration with writer Víctor Santos and artist Agustin Graham Nakamura.

In a hidden base deep in the jungles of planet Paradiso, Imperial Agent Adil Mehmut must determine whether his prisoner, special operative and former hero Ko Dali, is a traitor to her country and the whole human race, or an alien that has impersonated her to divide humanity.

In this story of political and military intrigue where nothing is what it seems, Adil will test the loyalties of his comrades – and of the very same nation he swore to serve.

Infinity: Betrayal is 128 page a softcover graphic novel and being released in two editions. Infinity: Betrayal features a regular edition and a limited edition that includes an exclusive miniature of the protagonist: Ko Dali. The pack price is 24,95€ PVP.

The new miniature will be playable with the new Infinity N4 rules as well as with Infinity CodeOne (the two latest versions of the well-known wargame).

Infinity: Betrayal is in shops August 10, 2020.

Modiphius Announces Infinity RPG

infinity rpgInfinity was launched by Spanish company, Corvus Belli in 2005. It actually started life as a homemade RPG setting for the early roleplaying adventures of Alberto, Carlos, Fernando and Gutier, before it evolved into the hugely-popular wargame and miniatures range.

The team’s original RPG sessions featured the ever-controlling AI ALEPH, the Ariadnan isolated colonists, the fearsome Hassassin and the tricky Tohaa, and later grew into their gaming universe. A never-released comic project provided the first concept design, which inspired them to create Infinity the game.

The team have since released an incredibly wide catalogue of miniatures based on their far-future world. Recent favorite additions include the Dire Foes sets, which pit villains and heroes against each other within story-orientated missions, and the successful launch of Corvus Belli’s Infinity Battle Pack, which provides a great introduction to the massive Infinity skirmish game.

The Infinity storyline follows the battles of the Human Sphere against the alien Combined Army, a collection of conquered alien races led by an aggressively resourceful AI. A recent encounter with the enigmatic Tohaa, who want to ally with the Human Sphere against the common enemy, sets the stage for a vast story of conspiracy, war and adventure.

Now, the gaming world is poised to discover the truth behind Infinity. The newly-announced roleplaying game will give players the freedom to adventure in the Human Sphere and beyond, learning a myriad of never-seen-before secrets about the Infinity universe and its strange alien races.

Modiphius teamed up with Corvus Bellis to unite their roleplaying publishing expertise with the fantastic Infinity setting.

Modiphius have announced that the Infinity roleplaying game will use 2d20, the in-house roleplaying system designed by Jay Little for Mutant Chronicles, which encourages cinematic action with its simple mechanics. New rules will introduce hacking, starships, playing characters who are fragments of an AI and much more. The core of the system is a ‘2d20’ roll versus a character’s Attribute and Skill total allowing for multiple successes, and Infinity fans will recognise many other familiar elements which will help translate the tabletop action into the roleplaying world.

Infinity – The Roleplaying Game. Adventures In the Human Sphere & Beyond will be available as a limited pre-order for the Corebook in Q1 – 2015, which will ship in Q2 – 2015. A Kickstarter campaign will follow in the Summer of 2015, with plans to expand the range to include full-colour campaign books, setting books, new player-character and villain figures, floor tiles and much more.

As a special bonus, fans signing up to the pre-order will receive a series of free PDF mini-adventures, which follow in the footsteps of Corvus Belli’s design team’s own early games. The very escapades that spawned the Infinity miniatures game! These will be delivered regularly in the run up to the Kickstarter campaign.
