Humanoids Celebrates The 40th Anniversary of The Incal by Alejandro Jodorowsky and Mœbius

The Incal

Humanoids is celebrating the 40th anniversary of The Incal by writer Alejandro Jodorowsky and internationally acclaimed artist Mœbius with a special anniversary trade paperback edition. The trade paperback collects Mœbius’ and Jodorowsky’s sci-fi masterpiece in one volume and includes a foreword by bestselling writer Brian Michel Bendis. It’s available now, retailing for $29.99

In this iconic story by Jodorowsky and Mœbius, John DiFool, a low-class detective in a degenerate, dystopian world, finds his life turned upside down when he discovers an ancient, mystical artifact called “the Incal.” DiFool’s adventures will bring him into conflict with the galaxy’s greatest warrior, the Metabaron, and will pit him against the awesome powers of the Technopope. These encounters and many more make up a tale of comic and cosmic proportions that has DiFool fighting for not only his very survival, but also the survival of the entire universe.

The Incal is widely regarded as one of the great achievements of the comics medium.

This fall, Humanoids will continue its celebration of The Incal with the publication of The Seven Lives of Alejandro Jodorowsky, edited by Vincent Bernière. This all-new hardcover appreciation of Jodorowsky provides a definitive overview of his many creative ventures, including his films, his comics writing, his life in the theater, his rebirth as a ‘70s cinematic cult figure, and his legendary work on the unfinished film adaptation of Dune. The book will be available in bookstores on October 13th, 2020, and in bookstores on October 14, 2020.
