The convention is in conjunction with Dusk Comics, Elia in the Box Studios, and Rio Bravo Comics.

Our first announce guest is Gonzalo Alvarez, illustrator and creator of El Pollo Man, Game Designer, and Creative Director/Founder of Macua Studios. After directing his first game Borders, a game about immigration inspired by his parents stories, the game received international attention and featured on Univision, Telemundo, Washington Post and many others leading to its invitation to Sheffield Doc/Fest Alternative Realities, Indiecade’s Showcase at E3 2017, and PBS.

Returning guests include one of the most fascinating people in Dallas (The Dallas Observer) creator of the internationally renowned Latino comic book series El Peso Hero, Hector Rodriguez. Eliamaria M. Crawford, owner and illustrator of Elia in a Box Studios, is a DFW-based illustrator known for her stick figured, dry-humored comics. She started drawing little comics centered around life’s thoughts and happenings in high school and eventually evolved to doing cool projects from custom wedding graphics, to convention poster art, and even contributing comics to many zines and projects. In the summer of 2016, she got her first book published, “Humans Really Irritate Me,” which is an anthology featuring all the comics she illustrated centered around UTA-famed professor Dr. Allan Saxe. Elia also has a YouTube channel where she posts videos centered around her art life, time-lapse drawings, and vlogs from an artist-alley perspective at conventions. She constantly loves to promote the independent art community.
